Great Location

Posted Jan 28, 2017
Just right for a weekend break in Nice. Perfect location. On the Promenade, 1 min from the Old Town, 2 mins from Place Massena. Everything in walking distance. Good breakfast buffet. Clean rooms. Will stay again when next in Nice.

Pros: The hotel was well decorated and clean. The buffet breakfast was well presented, plentiful and had lots of choice.
Cons: Our superior room needed a new carpet as the rest of the room was well presented. It had a modern bathroom. There was also a musty smell in the room. It was located at the back of the hotel looking onto a noisy street and therefore, you couldn't have a window open at night. Also at 4am every morning the bin men came. Because of this we didn't get one good night's sleep.
Location: The location is excellent and it is very easy to walk to the train station to go and visit places around Nice.

Long Weekend

Posted Nov 1, 2016
Pros: It's location on the beach and close to the old town
Cons: Nothing during our visit
Location: Antibes, Cannes, Cap Ferrat and Monaco all close by and accessible by bus or train both of which run every 10 to 15 minutes
Excellent stay in a good, quiet hotel on the sea front with access to miles of promenade. Didn't use the restaurant or bar preferring to eat out so can't comment on the quantity or quality of the food but did think that 17.50euros per person for a buffet breakfast was a little high when compared to surrounding restaurants. The staff were helpful and happy to converse in English and stop my terrible French getting us both confused. Ideally placed for a day trip to Monaco as well at 1.5 euros per person each way on the bus along the coast.

Great location

Posted Oct 27, 2016
Pros: Proximity to the Promenade, beach, and Old Town.
Cons: Air conditioning or fans - - air temp was terribly HOT and we were told to open the patio door. A replacement of coffee and tea for our room on day
Location: Walk the Promenade, beach, and Old Town.
This hotel is right across the street from the beach and the back of the building in in Old Town! The hotel is clean, the room was comfortable and small but normal size for Europe. We sat in the small lounge for cocktails prior to dinner. Breakfast was not included so we walked around to the back of the hotel and ate at the Boulangerie - - fantastic breakfast pastries, warm ham/cheese sandwiches, and a latte or cappuccino.

Delightful little hotel, fabulous location

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: The location right on the sea, with proximity to the Old Town, and tons of restaurants.
Cons: The stairs up to reception, the temperature of the room at night.
Loved the hotel, especially the location. My bed was very comfortable, and my room was delightfully laid out. We enjoyed the little bar in the lobby. The stairs up to reception from the street were a bit difficult. Also, the room was very warm at night.

Great location.

Posted Oct 14, 2016
Pros: The staff were all very helpful.
Cons: Nothing really apart from the bed which I've already mentioned.
Location: The hotel is in a great location on the edge of the old town - close to many sights and convenient to flower/antique markets, eating, Castle Hill etc.
I was expecting a sea view as this is what the picture looked like when I booked! I got a room within the hotel that was looking out at a wall. The room was clean, tidy and had all the facilities - bathroom in particular was excellent. The room would not suit everyone especially anyone older as the bed was on a mezzanine which meant you had to climb a narrow set of dog-leg stairs to reach it, ok going up - difficult when coming back down especially in the middle of the night if you needed the toilet. REQUEST A SEA VIEW ROOM as they have a normal layout. Everything else was fine.

Good location but terrible beds

Posted Oct 2, 2016
The hotel is very convenient and was clean with ok amenities (probably more 3 star than 4). However, the bed was like a rock. After a day of sightseeing you might feel like falling into bed but be careful, you could break a bone falling into this bed. No sleep to be had and pretty sure my next stop will be the chiropractor. Also, the rooms aren't sound proofed at all so if you're unfortunate enough to be near reception or there on a garbage collection night (I had both), you're guaranteed a very restless night.

Good location, near to beach and old town

Posted Sep 10, 2016
Pros: The position is great- good breakfast, attentive staff and extremely clean.
Cons: Our room was small.
Location: The hotel is right on the sea front with easy access to the rest of the town.
The staff were very welcoming and efficient. Our room was extremely clean and quiet. The bedroom was small, but that was OK as we were only staying one night.
