Nice hotel by the beach

Posted Feb 19, 2017
Renewed recently, this hotel offers spacious bedrooms with big size and comfortable beds. The bathroom was also of a good side and clean. The lobby and breakfast areas are very pleasant and airy, with lovely attention to detail in the marine design. The staff is very kind and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel across the street from the Beach

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Pros: We love its close proximity to the beach and convenience to the airport and roads, if managing other travel.
Cons: Nothing to improve; it is perfect.
Location: It is easy to rent a car and manage parking or take public transportation anywhere in the city. Old Town Nice is a short drive/ride.
This is our 2nd stay and we love this hotel. It is right across the street from the beach and the view is amazing. The concierge was particularly helpful in writing an issue in French for us (we are American) and it helped manage the situation much easier. Very nice hotel with very nice and helpful staff.

Don't ever stay here

Posted Nov 11, 2016 on Hotels
This was without doubt the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. We left our rental car in the valet parking care of the hotel and came back to a massive scratch that had been keyed into the door. The staff became really rude and defensive, refusing to help us in any way. We asked if they could at least take away the €29 per night we had paid for parking, they argued for about thirty minutes before finally taking away one nights worth the parking bill. Without realising we understood French, the manager said 'Just make them pay the full price and get them out of here.' We were then advised by one of the hotel staff to lie to Sixt when we returned the rental car and tell them that the scratch was already there. I stay in hotels about 60% of the year, this hotel was the most unpleasant experience - it really ruined our holiday.

Dear Guest, We thank you for having taken the time to share your experience. Your remarks regarding the incident with your car deserve our full attention and we are really disappointed to read about your observations in relation to the helpfulness and attitude of our staff. We pride ourselves on our Yes I Can! service and friendly team and we can assure you that this kind of attitude is not the norm here. We present you our sincerest apologies and your feedback will be shared with the team here to improve our service standards. We immediately interviewed our staff if any damage has been observed or occurred on the car while we have taken over the vehicle to park, but no damage was registered. As the public pedestrian walkway as well as the carpark are public areas, the hotel cannot be hold for responsible for any damage. We presume that the damage has been caused at another moment and under no circumstances by one of our hotel employees. We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have the chance to welcome you again and then meet your legitimate expectations. Eric van Dalsum General Manager

OK but too far out

Posted Nov 3, 2016
Pros: Room
Cons: Service and proximity from at own centre
Location: Too far from town centre but great bus service and convenient for airport
Room fine and clean; tea coffee selection (in room) poor; replenishment of tea / toiletries poor and stingy - we had to request 2 teabags in double room; pleasant rooftop pool area but no service although weather pleasant - we had to fetch our own drinks from ground floor bar (in swimwear); this hotel is a good 2 miles from the town centre - handy for the airport - Promenade des Anglais is a very long road! - having said this there is an excellent bus service and it is a pleasant walk along the prom.

It’s really disappointing to hear that whilst we strive to offer our guests the very best service; on this occasion, something went wrong. We can assure you that your comments regarding the refilling of the in-room amenities as well as the service at the pool area will be taken into consideration and will help us to improve our services standards. We can only apologise for your experience and assure you this is not the usual standard here. We hope we get the chance to show you this in the future. Eric van Dalsum General Manager

Dear Guest, We thank you the time you have taken the time to share with us on the hotels.com website your concerns and we are happy to hear that you appreciated your recent stay at our property. Our prices are very competitive and maybe a little higher than some other venues in Nice you might have tried but where they offering the same unique sea front setting and view over the Baie des Anges? We look forward to welcoming you again soon and remains, Eric van Dalsum General Manager

A bit isolated from amenities

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: Friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Shower is not friendly to those with any mobility impairments. It has a high tub wall to step over, though they do have grab bars.
My conference venue was originally about a 15 minute walk from the Radisson when I booked but changed the week before the conference to the Palais Mediterranee (Hyatt) nearer to the other end of the Promenade des Anglais. Hotel is fine with modern facilities. Internet was solid. Nothing around for food (particularly on the weekend) outside of the hotel whose pricing for things like breakfast was high. There are a few small storefronts and a few tiny places to eat (e.g., Pizza/salad, Kebabs) on the city side but nothing very appealing nearby. Concierge was helpful in locating a laundromat (pretty unattractive too) and booking a tour for us. Neighborhood is not particularly attractive once off the Promenade des Anglais. Construction was taking place for city plumbing on the city side of the hotel so noisy for the first few days. You can get to more interesting areas of Nice fairly easily with buses on the Promenade des Anglais just across the street from the Radisson Bleu. Buy a week pass for best value (e.g., at the airport when you arrive).

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Oct 1, 2016
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Location: Has a private beach with umbrellas and food
Very nice, clean, hotel with an excellent breakfast. It is a fairly long walk to the main tourist areas in Nice but there are plenty of taxis and buses to get to your destination

Well we had breakfast at a ridiculous price. The breakfast was rubbish raw scrambled eggs and the bacon burnt to a crisp.. Staff are miserable and we're not happy faces and should be more helpful I will not stay here again ever.. Food menu also should be more choices..

Friendly staff, great views but expensive food

Posted Sep 28, 2016
Really really friendly staff and pretty hotel Amazing sea views Nice rooms and great mini bar and toiletries Road noisy into the night Nice pool area and sun trap but really expensive to buy a pool side drinks - 2 X cokes 12 euros. Same with breakfast 24 euros for a basic breakfast which eggs were cold and quality low. (Dirty plates / bad service / not worth the money) We ate at the roof restuarnt and beach restaurant both the food was really great and service really good and location amazing with great views but again very expensive. But food was good. This hotel is 15min drive from the old town where you want to go out in the evening to eat. Bus 1.5 euro and really easy to get from outside the hotel and just one straight road to old town and über was easy to get also and you got really nice über cars. Overall I would stay st this hotel again
