Lovely weekend stay so good to help with our delays and let us check in easy to get some rest after 6 hours extra travel so friendly and helpful we only ate at the restaurant 1 day but the food was amazing wish we were there longer to try more!

Close comfort near Gouda
I wished I booked for 2 nights. It was wonderful. Bed was so comfortable, staff very friendly. My only regret is I didn’t time to enjoy the amazing bathtub!

Dream hotel
Wonderful hotel, staff very friendly and the room was superb. The only comment I have is that we invited friends on our last night for a meal. The meal was excellent but the service was very slow.

Nice way to be in The Netherlands
New renovated hotel, everything worked well, huge restaurant area and lounging area, everything nice and cosy.... we used only bicycles and that was a great experience. Room was huge and the whole surrounding of the hotel beautiful.....park, terrace..

Excellent for almost everyone, not quite for me!
I like this hotel enough to have stayed here a few times, and will continue to do so. Essentially it is well positioned for the business I have to do in the Rotterdam area, it is a clean place, well kept, with very friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant food is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and perfectly suited to my needs. The only negative from my perspective is very simple; the spinning bikes in the gym need to be replaced. Digital readouts don't work. This must be known by the management and if they were replaced then I would say that the hotel is perfect for me in all respects.

Check in was great and the bar/restaurant very nice with good service. The only let down was that the room was a bit shabby and dark. I'd stay again but ask for a room not on the ground floor.

1 night extended to 4
1 night turned into 4. Van Der Valk was a familiar name from childhood in Holland so we returned and what a great choice! Check in was easy and the staff was very nice and helpful. We booked one night and upon arrival we decided we wanted to be by the park so we upgraded to the Deluxe room. The room was gorgeous. Spacious and very clean. The park and water was so cool to look at, the ducks and dogs were entertaining so we opened the doors to really enjoy The bed was delightful and the comforters were cozy. Buffet breakfast was great and the croissants are delicious! eggs cooked to order and very fresh. We even checked out after extending to 3 nights and then came back for a fourth night. We stayed in a basic room on the fourth night and even though we went from deluxe to basic the bed was still great and although a smaller room it was still spacious with two beds and a sitting area. Very clean and great staff bright and inviting. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

Great bathroom: clean, spacious, big tub and shower. Loved the lake view with big windows to look outside. Staff was friendly and professional and prompt. However, the bedside stands? were stained and there were so many mosquitos in the room we were bitten numerous times and spent time hunting them down. Need some kind of repellent in the room. I think others did the same because we found various marks on the wall...

Nice rooms but restaurant could be improved.
The hotel is clean and modern. Rooms are relatively large. The restaurant is good but the steak I had for dinner was tough and very fatty. Overall the dinner was not satisfactory. Breakfast was good but it incurred a $20 charge per person.

Superior Retreat Hotel
Our best stay in Europe so far. Tremendously helpful front-desk staff, friendly multi-lingual servers, and excellent facilities all around. The food in the hotel restaurant is high end restaurant quality. Prices are quite reasonable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants something of a break from touring and what can be an overwhelming European experience.

Very good hotel close to Rotterdam and highway.
We had a very pleasant stay. Room was good and clean. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Everything you can possibly imagine is present. Very tasty and good food.
