The staff was warm, smiley, and courteous. There was an issue with the room, and it was handled quickly and efficiently. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel owner was a pleasant person who came to talk with us, gave us tips on where to travel, and asked for our suggestions on how to improve the hospitality. It was definitely an excellent experience in Crete, and we will surely return there next time.

Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location, But Some Details Let It Down We recently stayed at Castello Boutique Suites in Sissi, Crete to celebrate our anniversary, and overall, we had a very good holiday. The hotel made a wonderful gesture by upgrading us to a larger suite with a private side pool, which felt so special and really set the tone for our stay. The suite itself was stylish and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent every morning, and the staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The location couldn’t be better — just a 2-minute walk from the charming port of Sissi, with plenty of tavernas and shops nearby. That said, as this is marketed as a five-star hotel, we were a little disappointed by some details. Positives: – Thoughtful anniversary upgrade to a suite with private pool. – Beautiful, modern, and spacious room. – Fantastic location (2 minutes from Sissi port). – Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and quality. – Friendly, professional, and welcoming staff. – Relaxed, peaceful atmosphere throughout. Negatives: – Private pool jets and lights didn’t work; nothing was fixed during our stay. – Pool needed topping up and sides had algae. – No towel hooks in the bathroom; “do not disturb” system broken. – Daily housekeeping, but balcony wasn’t cleaned in 8 nights. – Cups and glasses not refreshed — had to wash them ourselves. Not My favorite hotel

Ignored and Disappointed: Poor Communication by Hotel Management When we extended our stay, the hotel staff failed to inform us about a special 50% May discount. Although the manager later compensated us nicely, our experience with the hotel’s loyalty program has been extremely disappointing. Since our stay, we've made multiple attempts to register for the hotel’s loyalty membership. Despite discussing this directly with reception upon checkout (we were promised a follow-up that never came) and sending three subsequent emails, we've received no response whatsoever. It feels as though the hotel is deliberately avoiding our registration to prevent us from receiving the 10% discount on our next visit, especially concerning given their initial oversight regarding the 50% discount. We remain puzzled by this complete lack of communication from hotel management.

Excellent food from all of the restaurants, snack bars and even the buffet. Good range of pools without any major issue finding sun loungers. Beach is sandy and can easily swim in the sea safely. Water park is great to have as another option. Hotel is big on sustainability so have to refill your own water bottles each day, but easy enough to do. We occasionally needed to request the room to be cleaned via the app as not always done daily, however each time we requested it to be cleaned it was done within the hour.
