Beautiful property with wonderful hosts.

Posted Nov 30, 2015
Location: The walled city is a must. The streets wind about, the buildings are old and beckon you as you walk: all things truffle.
In October, our three nights at Corte Belvoir were wonderful. Alex and Rossi are so very hospitable and they love their property. It is a labor of love--their restoration. This was our first visit to Norcia--and the season for truffles. Yum. Alex gave us great recommendations for dining and he really enouraged us to make the drive to Casteluccio. Wow. Spectacular scenery and a wonderful restaurant there as our "reward". We made sure we heard the monks chanting. Ate truffles, proscuitto and other wonderful, local eats. We had wifi; Alex offered the use of a washer. We felt very welcomed and very comfortable. The apartment we had was truly spectacular. Very modern bath, lovely decor.

Pros: Helpful hosts. The room + the site and countryside.
Cons: Nil
Location: Norcia has good restaurants, shops and Bank etc. the National Park is very close by.
Charming site and very helpful hosts. We very much enjoyed our stay here. Clean and comfortable room and excellent bathroom. Lovely place to sit out in the evening and just take in the countryside. The drive is not to long to take you to the National Park with stunning mounains and scenery. Norcia has good facilities + restaurants and interest. Very much hoping to return. Mike & Liz

Italian version of Fawlty Towers

Posted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: Not much
Cons: Better front of hourse staff for a start
Location: LOcation fine. Lots to do in the area
Overbearing proprietor. Scorpion in the bath. Hotel insisted on holding passports until checkout - which my Italian hotel manager nephew tells me is not legal. Our rooms had to be inspected before we got our passports back - bizarre!!

Thank you very much indeed to these Gentlemen for their extraordinary and useful review and, with all of our heart, we wish to have them here again as our special guests for the next time. These “Italian version of Fawlty Towers”, not surprisingly, besides having been awarded for the high quality of careful cleanliness (please check, this note it's written everywhere), they manage this accommodation (which is an Historic Mansion….and that's the more reason why !!!) that, till today, it has been a very safe and reliable place, because, believe us or not Sirs, ours it's a huge task of great responsibility toward the safety of all guests, every single day of our life. Awaiting them with open arms Thank you for the prompt attention Alessandro Piccioni - General Management

Alessandro - a superb host

Posted Aug 28, 2012
We stayed at Corte Belvoir on the second leg of our trip to the Sibillini mountains. Corte Belvoir is ideally located for many outstanding hikes and a short 5 minute drive from the tourists and hustle and bustle of Norcia with its quality locandas and trattorias. With such a bounty on offer, Alessandro is your man. His knowledge of the area and it's "secret places" is exhaustive but it is delivered to his guests in a sensible, helpful and no nonsense manner. Alessandro has done the research - just follow his advice and you will enjoy your holiday. Our room (the Belvedere) was huge and cool, whilst breakfast was ample and on the terrace below. One of our fondest Umbrian memories will be star-gazing whilstk sat in the grounds of Corte Belvoir with a complimentary grappa or limoncello with the noise and lights of Norcia far below!

Particolare residenza immersa nel verde.

Posted Sep 15, 2013
