A tired hotel in need of major refurbishment

Posted May 13, 2017
Pros: Quiet location, but within easy distance to City centre.
Cons: Major refurbishment
In terms of the hotel very disappointing. Three room changes during check in. Hotel has poorly maintained communal areas, unacceptable smells throughout, particularly, in the pet friendly lodges!

Very tired hotel but staff very helpful. 10 mins walk into a bustling city centre with plenty to see and do. Great restaurants.

Nice cosy hotel

Posted Mar 4, 2017 on Hotels
Stayed here for 5 nights whilst working in the area. The rooms are cosy some are more modern décor than others but all are ok. Like a lot of hotels the water pressure is not so great, so the showers are not quite a power shower. The restaurant food is good quality and all the staff are friendly and polite.

convenient budget hotel for the Real Ale festival

Posted Mar 3, 2017
Pros: Relaxed and friendly.
Conveniently allowed an early check in that was much appreciated. Basic but all working and clean. Decided to eat in the restaurant and it was very tasty with good value for money - Liver and Bacon with bubble & squeak and all the trimmings. Full breakfast included in the rate - delicious.

Basic

Posted Feb 23, 2017 on Hotels
Staff friendly and helpful but the whole place needs to be refurbed and noise was a problem as the partitioning between rooms is flimsy. Not sure I was happy to be in a ground floor room with the only option for air to be to open the window as there was no working extraction fan in the bathroom either.

Good stay, comfortable room, and clean.

Good stay, comfortable room, and clean. On the map this hotel appears far from the city centre, but it is really just a short 10 min walk. The room was well made and the bathroom spotless. For the price don't expect the ritz, but it is value for money.

Lovely hotel and staff

Posted Feb 13, 2017
A little disappointed with the food, sent a lasagne back as a quarter of it was solid and had to choose again off the menu. My husband stood in some dog poo and didn't notice until he brought it in the car, not the hotels fault though only lazy dog owners not clearing up. Other than that it was a lovely clean hotel.

Tired Hotel, But Excellent Service/Staff

Great service and a very comfy room. Decor is tired but once renovated will be fresh & lovely. Breakfast choice is excellent. Staff attentive & professional. Town centre is a walkable distance. A really great stay.

Perfect for a visit to Norwich city

Posted Dec 12, 2016
Pros: Location to city centre
Cons: Decoration very tired - could take a refurbishment - even old buildings can look better than this inside
Location: Perfect location for the city - a pleasant 15 min stroll into city centre
Hotel clean and tidy if dated and a little tired, staff great - friendly and helpful
