A beautiful haven in the trees

Posted Aug 13, 2015
Pros: Everything.....the beautiful rooms, the hot tub, the pool, the superb gardens, friendly and courteous staff, delicious food.... a HAVEN
Cons: Nothing
Location: Excellent just away from the hustle and bustle of the coast but a short drive away. Fantastic North Norfolk Coastal Path to hike gently along.
It was our 25th Wedding anniversary and we wanted to do something different not just spend a night amongst many others in a pleasant but samey chain. The Felbrigg more than overwhelmed us . It's clever arrangement of cottages provided seclusion and a feeling of elegant privacy. The cottages were finished beautifully and immaculately clean with comfort and space. The pool and hot tub were really the icing on the cake. We felt so treated. Evening drinks before dinner lent a grown up house party feel and really added to the ambiance. The staff were lovely too. Overall, it was a splendid sojourn that lifted the soul. Not glitzy, more subtle , a contemporary relaxed and gentle elegance. A treasure!

Relaxing, informal and child friendly!

Pros: Location, staff, facilities.
Location: The grounds of Felbrigg Hall are at the end of the drive and Cromer is a 10 minute drive away...the road outside takes you straight to the sea front!
Great place to just unwind and relax. I expected pretensious owners but Dee Dee was really welcoming and down-to Earth and made us feel at home straight away - all the staff were really friendly. Room was lovely, pool empty, food delicious and a great rural location. When I enquired about the children's menu prior to our stay Dee Dee just asked what my daughter would like to eat and it was all arranged for our arrival. Yes it's pricey, but do you know what...it really was worth every penny to come away feeling like I'd had a long weekend away rather than just one night.

A Little tired and in need of an update for the price that was being charged

We have a continuous programme of renewals and thank any guest who wishes to bring to our attention any areas they feel are getting tired. These will be added to our list and are attended to when budget permits. in 20014 we spent £47000 on keeping our rooms and facilities up to standard and recognise that it is this sort of commitment that keeps our guests returning.
