Have to say from start to finish the staff were amazing through out, Breakfast was wonderful choice and well cooked with a wonderful view over looking the sea front. Room was spacious parking was great also electrical charging point would definitely return. Me and the kids with the dog.

Lovely stay
Super comfy bed, shower excellent. Top notch meal in the inhouse restaurant with flambe'd steak. Definitely be back. Great location too with parking.

An excellent hotel, ‘old fashioned’ in the best possible way with spacious rooms pampering the clients in every way. Staff are courteous, efficient and caring; food quality and range is outstanding. We can recommend the Imperial without hesitation.

Fab food, with awful drumming
As usual, fantastic service and a delicious new menu The only negative was having a room at the rear and having to endure 2 football matches with a crowd constantly drumming - maybe better sound insulation could be installed

Generally a very good hotel. Bathroom lacked shelving for toiletries and there was no Aircon but for this age of hotel aircon should not really be expected. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet toward the back of the hotel. Location is excellent within walking distance of everything. Food was excellent with fantastic restaurant under the hotel and breakfast on the terrace in the morning. Sunday lunch was outstanding. Recommend highly.

Excellent service as usual, staff, very nice, very helpful, always happy lovely group of people in the bar, the restaurant and the reception area, would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The food is excellent. What more can I say go try it it’s well worth a visit thank you to all looked after us.

Sorry that you did not appreciate our service and the facilities in the room,some of our rooms are smaller but still well equipped!As you booked a single room you did have a 4ft queen sized bed. The price is dictated by how busy we are , as we were full there was not so much flexibility,apologies.

This was our second stay but first as a family and could not fault any of the staff as they were amazing polite and very accommodating. The room was fantastic size and the shower was so good. The breakfast was lovely. Only issue we had was finding a car park space when we arrived as some others hadnt parked so well but we did eventually get one. Would definitely stay again if we were going back to Great Yarmouth as the location was perfect. It was away from the game and play areas they were only a walk away but the beach was only across the road.

Had a lovely weekend at the imperial. Hotel was spotless, staff extremely friendly and helpful and the food wasexcellent. Some parts of the building could do with a revamp however. A lovely building in need of some TLC. Will definitely be returning

Brilliant Hotel
Right from arriving to leaving we couldnt find a single fault. Staff are all friendly and helpful, breakfast was superb. We ate both nights of our stay in The Terrace restaurant and both meals were delicious. Brilliant hotel.

Lighthouse overload
When travelling as a single person for business you know you will probably be allocated a smaller room at the back of the hotel, even though on the booking it said king size bed !! Last week at the Imperial, as usual the service was impeccable and the restaurant food delicious; however, having a small room at the side of the hotel completely embellished by lighthouses was like a child’s nightmare !! Will definitely be writing on the “any other requests” NO Lighthouses please

We really enjoyed our stay and the staff could not be more helpful. We drove up in my electric car and there was 2 spaces to use the charger which is a great help whilst staying there. Unfortunately they were not working the next evening but would be a good unique selling point for electric car users.

We had a lovely time, but we’re surprised this was a 4 star, as we’ve stayed in 3 star hotels that were more luxurious. (I understand now that 4 stars can be due to extra facilities such as the conference rooms, but given that we were on a couple’s break this had no relevance to us). The room was very clean and I loved the branded seaside mugs, and the marine curtains. The corridors and reception however let this hotel down as being dated. Think Fawlty Towers without the faultiness. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety. My eggs Benedict was incredibly salty, but clearly it wasn’t that much of a problem as I didn’t leave any! One thing that troubled us was that we popped in to the terrace for a takeaway flat white coffee for our walk. We’re almost certain it was an instant Nescafe! Might as well have been hot water. Very pleasant stay otherwise - who can fail to be cheered by a seaview.

A young talented entrepreneur who has been in the hospitality and tourism industry in this hotel has stepped up into hotel ownership.
