Charming

Posted Aug 23, 2016
Pros: The beautiful restoration and the unique historic building.
Location: I flew in from western US. It made a a perfect point to see Jamestown, Suffock, Yorktown, and Willaimsburg.
The manager met us at midnight! In the morning the chef welcomed us and was warm and friendly with delicious food too!.

Felt like I was staying at my grandmother's vintage mansion .... :) Very relaxing and the room felt cozy. I wish I stayed much longer to enjoy the pool and tennis courts. If you're looking for a home away from home or are tired of cheap hotels, this is the perfect place for you! And the best part is that the restaurant is nationally awarded the Silver Plate.. food was amazing & the bartender Will was the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant!!! Also, if that wasn't enough, Chicks Beach is only 7-10min drive away.

Quiet Comfort in a Beautiful Neighborhood

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Quiet, well appointed, excellent staff, beautiful.
Cons: A lift to the second floor.
Church Point Manor is NOT a hotel; it's a home. Absolutely beautiful décor, porches, outdoor seating, pool, adequate parking, very secure location. Traveling on business with my wife, we stayed two nights and felt totally at home. Located in an upscale neighborhood, access was easy but privacy was excellent and we walked and jogged all over the area with abandon. Their restaurant (Cellars) was as good as it gets; service was impeccable and the food was heavenly. The room was beautifully appointed, independently air conditioned and very quiet. We rested well. Do be advised that access to and getting luggage to the second floor is by stairs only, which may be a challenge to some guests. Several excellent seafood restaurants about 10 minutes away by car and the beach only a few minutes more. Not a place for those seeking a party, beachy venue. Staff was most hospitable and quick to respond to any request. Breakfast is included and the chef provided whatever we requested. We felt like we owned the place and will stay again if we are in the area.

Pros: Property well maintained. Quiet and peaceful stay I look forward to returning.
Cons: None.
Location: Several restaurants and stores within a few miles of the property.
This place defiantly will not disappoint you. One of the best most memorable experiences I've had.

Beautiful and historic stay!

I can not say enough about our stay. The grounds were beautiful, the innkeepers were wonderful and the breakfast very refreshing and tasty. I would go back and stay longer next time, we were only there for the night, traveling and sight seeing. If I am fortunate enough to return, I will plan on spending all my time at Church Point and relax.

Charming, peaceful, elegant and welcoming!

We were travelling to Va Beach rather unexpectedly and my boyfriend made the reservations. I was a little surprised that he had chosen a B&B as we had never stayed in one before (turns out he did not read carefully and was surprised as well!)...HOWEVER, we were so PLEASED with Church Point Inn that we are already planning another stay later in the year (and we have to drive 5+ hrs to get there!). Provence, our room, was beautifully decorated in an elegant country French/Victorian style, the house is gorgeously decorated as well with many beautiful sitting areas to relax in. The breakfast room is a lovely spacious sun porch that I wish I could replicate in my home. In addition to the 'basics'....and since I was on my own for much of one day....I enjoy the picturesque neighborhood on foot, found the path to a dock on an inlet and spent several hours enjoying the beautiful pool (all to myself as it turns out!), and we had 2 fabulous meals at the restaurant (The Cellars) witch allowed us to drink wine and WALK back to our rooms (only after spending some time on the lovely porch enjoying the breezes and peacefulness around the manor). Lastly, the Innkeepers (Klaus and Christiane) were so very warm and attentive (without being too intrusive) that we have decided that there is something to be said for the 'personal touch' of the B&B, which you can't find even in the nicest hotel. So close to Va Beach but offering elegance and peaceful that you won/t find there!
