Nice stay

Posted Jul 21, 2016
My stay at this hotel was fine. I would have given the hotel a 5-star rating but they did not have a laundry room and the carpet needs to be cleaned. Also, I took off the covers on the bed and put them on the floor to be collected by the maid, because my child had an accident on them, but the same sheets and covers were put back onto the bed, other than that issue, the hotel stay was fine. My family enjoyed the stay.

Price meets Quality

Posted Jul 21, 2016
Pros: Staff both checking in and checking out Fan on the air conditioner remained on!
Cons: Replacing of carpets to remove the stale smoke smell. Persons with pets to all be in the same area of the hotel.
Location: Location is central to tourist locations in Va Beach. Good part of town, with restaurant choices close by. Easy to get to from the interstate.
We stayed at this hotel for a quick overnight while in town for an event. Check in was easy, room was clean, linen's were clean. The outside of the hotel is very clean and well maintained, and it is in a very good part of town, surrounded by other moderate/high end hotels. The inside of the hotel, while clean is in need of maintenance, badly scuffed walls, elevator wires exposed on panel where you push the button to get on the elevator. Even though it was a non-smoking room there was a strong stale smoke smell. The hotel does allow dogs, we did not find any scents or stains associated with dogs, however there were a few instances where we heard barking for an extended period of time. However, the air-conditioning fan worked great and prevented us from hearing the barking once we were in our room. Both the young woman who checked us in and the older man who checked me out were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was your basic continental and what little we grabbed was fresh. The hotel is very basic, and is a place to put your head, and the price reflects that. If you are looking for perfect paint, perfect carpet, and complete silence, this is not the hotel for you. Believe it is best for adults who are just needing a hotel for a night and moving on!

Nice hotel 20 minutes from the beach!

Posted Jul 7, 2016
We absolutely love this hotel. It was easy to find, right off the interstate. Parking was a breeze. Every member of the staff we came into contact with was nice and very upbeat. Our room (a single King) was very clean with plenty of towels. The bed was very soft and clean. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel

Pros: The cleanliness.
Cons: The breakfast.
Location: The area not including the hotel was not very clean. Lots of litter. Dennys, Ruby Tuesday, and a Seven Eleven within a block.
The hotel was very clean. We stayed 6 nights while visiting a grandson in the Navy. It was not very big rooms and not a lot of extras, but very very clean and ample for our stay. The service with housekeeping was great. There was no internet service to print boarding passes. Breakfast was just ok, waffles were the only hot item.

Just ur average hotel

Pillows were worse ever . Tub dirty and not really able to get clean. Not all essientials that usually come with a room stay . Neighborhood went way down within 2 blocks. Not much within comfortable driving distance . But it was a place to stay for reasonable price I guess.

Pet Friendly Find

Posted Mar 28, 2016 on Hotels
We wanted to have a quick getaway to the beach to relax. We had our two dogs with us, so this limited our choices quite a bit. We were happy to find La Quinta, where pets stay free! Other chains allow only one pet, or charge outrageous fees per animal, per night. So, while we would have preferred to have been closer to the beach, we were so thankful to have found this hotel. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. There were lots of other dogs there. The room was clean and spacious, but we could easily hear noise in the hallways, which sometimes got our dogs barking. Over all, though, it was a nice stay!
