The hotel is in a great location, and our room was oceanfront.
The hotel is under serious, serious construction, which is never mentioned on the website, nor was it mentioned in a follow-up email.
The pool is closed, which was extremely disappointing, especially having a child with Autism, who had been looking forward to it. No mention is made of this either anywhere in any of the information.
There is no breakfast available, which is also not mentioned anywhere on the website or in the hotel information.
Our room was never once cleaned during the 3 nights we spent there. When we asked about this, we were told it was "because of the virus." If this were true, why weren't we given supplies, such as more garbage bags, toilet tissue, tissues, etc. for our stay, or told how we could get these items if we needed them? No information was made available.
We had the unfortunate luck to be in the not-yet-remodeled section of the hotel. I have pretty low standards (all I really care about is a decent place to sleep when we aren't adventuring), and this was pretty run down. There was paint chipping off the walls, the finish coming off the doors, and it was pretty dirty..
I understand remodels have to happen. I've been in plenty of hotels that were being remodeled. However, everything else needs to be perfect, and it certainly wasn't.
