Ocean front

Pros: Ocean front and cheap
Cons: Pretty much everything but the employees are all awesome
Location: Ocean frone
Our third visit. Based on price and location. It is ocean front last two rooms had musty odor, this room reeked of smoke. Also someone removed the smoke detector. On last two visits people were s Okinawa on balconies (some using illegal substances too) altho not allowed. Better options available elsewhere for a few dollars more

Real ocean view.

Real ocean view, decent and sumptuous breakfast. Amazing car park, trekking distance from the hotel to the beach. We enjoyed our stay.

no so quality inn

Pros: location was nice parking ok
Cons: this hotel needs a rehab, very dated, and by now all the carpet should be replaced
Location: this is october not too much as most local stores and ocean attractions are closed for the season
check in was quick and simple, but once we entered the elevator thats where it all ended, bad damp musty smell, then the same on our floor, and into the room, then the hurricane hit, our room door leaked, as well did our second and third rooms. the fourth room was ok but the rain did penetrate the hallway. for water extraction, none which explains the musty smell through out the hotel, granted a hurricane came, but other hotels had disaster recovery companies blowing flans and extracting the water., here, a towel in front of the ac unit in the hallway.

Beautiful view of the ocean

The hotel has a wonderful view of the ocean and there are many restaurants within walking distance. Also, the staff was very accommodating and there was a wide variety of breakfast items.

Close to beach and board walk.

Pros: Everything was with in walking distance.
Cons: Rooms need renovated.
Location: Good location.
Old out dated hotel, the staff was friendly, the room room was dirty, smelly, moldy.

On the boardwalk and beach

Pros: Parking is free and convenient, the beds are comfortable, the rooms all have a balcony with a view of the ocean, and the price is competitive.
Cons: The hotel is fairly run down, and a rather foul odor permeates especially the corridors, and also the rooms. Opening the balcony window helped.
Location: Nearby 6th St/Boardwalk has a bandstand with free music summer evenings. Don't miss the Deloreans, if they are playing, for a nice party ambience.
The location is good, and we discovered some of Virginia Beach's seaside secrets, getting past the seemingly endless rows of monotonous souvenir shops. Those secrets include some good restaurants, some thoughtful monuments to naval aviation and Virginia, and free musical entertainment. The beach, of course, is wonderful.

Chose this hotel for location, did not expect much

Pros: Comfortable, quiet, view
Cons: Pretty much everything, needs a refresh and an overhaul.
Location: On the boardwalk in Virginia beach
I have to say this hotel is a bit "seedy" in appearance. Nice pool, on the boardwalk, view of ocean from room. Everything is just third class and run down. Plastic chairs on veranda filthy. Musty smell in room. Substandard toiletries, coffee, oj, etc. that being said room was clean. Quiet even with location next to soda machine and right across from elevator. Large room with king bed and sleep sofa. Little kitchenette with coffe maker, frig, sink, and microwave. No creamer for coffe, no implements for use of microwave. Free wifi, nice tv. We are actually going back as for the price and being 5 minutes from my son we cannot find anything much better.

The location was great and the breakfast was ok

The hotel in itself is outdated and run down. The hotel needs a COMPLETE MAKE OVER ! There were a lot of issues concerning broken things in the hotel such as exit signs , walls , and vending machines just to name a few. There was one hotel manager that almost everytime I seen her, she was out front smoking and talking on her cell phone. As far as security in my room, I did not feel safe at all. I would not recommend this hotel unless a serious overhaul is done.

we had no choice but to stay..all hotels were full

Pros: they did have good coffee in the morning.
Cons: Probably replace the staff that tells lies - to include the manager. Lies do nothing more that make us remember to NEVER come back.
Location: stay away from Quality Inn Virginia Beach, Atlantic Ave.!!
The room had mold in a ceiling HOLE. I reported this the 1st day - we stayed for 6 days and this was NOR repaired. the sink would not drain. I also reported this and was told that "someone will look at it". BAH! The floor was wet near the AC unit. At first I thought this was the culprit, but we found out that the HOLE in the ceiling was dripping thru the wall and about the 4th day, the hole started to drip. I put a bucket on the AC unit so we would not have an electrical problem or worse, a fire. I told morning staff, the evening staff and I think that the one guy that was overhearing the conversation was the manager - but he never said he was. When I first saw the dripping, I went up stairs to see that the rug was being replaced. This room ALSO had a ceiling HOLE with mold so I assume that there were 3 floors with this drip. A poor way to impress the customer by replacing the rugs and NOT curing the problem. don't tell customer that you will fix it if all you do is give lip service.

Dated but OK.

Pros: The location and the view. The cost wasn't outrageous relative to location and the breakfast that was included.
Cons: The A/C units need to be maintained. Until the A/C issues are controlled I wouldn't book again at the rates advertised
Location: The boardwalk and Atlantic Ave. restaurants.
I am a repeat customer but this time the A/C in the room was malfunctioning and struggled to hold 75 degrees and never turned off. Complained and was asked to change thermostat setting, which I had already performed. Changes made no difference and on second morning informed the front desk. I was offered to move, but only had one more night and that would be a hassle for my family. The second offer was a credit to offset the room cost. Upon checkout, the assistant manager who made the credit offer was off. I informed the front desk clerk at that time about the A/C issues and the credit offer from the assistant manager. I also pointed out the A/C filter had dust 1/4 inch thick on it. The clerk would only offer to remove the "resort fee" that VA Beach hotels add. That credit has not been reflected on my credit card.
