The hotel isn't maintained very well. Upon arrival we found garbage in our room. The glass sliders to our balcony looked like they've never been cleaned. It seems ridiculous to not have a hotel bike rack. Parking is horrible! When we were departing the staff was using the luggage carts to carry in inventory. Why wouldn't you wait until checkout is over? The breakfast constantly ran out of fruit. While the location is nice, it certainly isn't a favorite hotel for our family.

Nice hotel on the boardwalk

Pros: Location, room size and comfort, water view, breakfast choices.
Cons: Bath towels were small and thin - like those in cut-rate motels and a disappointment for a Marriott property.
Location: On south end of boardwalk, walking distance to some restaurants and shops, short drive to seafood restaurants at Rudee Inlet and Virginia Aquarium.
Searched for a nice waterfront hotel for 3-day weekend getaway. This had best combination of features and price. We were well pleased. All rooms are spacious with a water view and balcony. Saw dolphins from there one day. Will consider staying here on another trip to VA Beach.

Snow On the Beach

We have been coming here for the last five years for our anniversary. We always enjoy it. This year there was a snow storm during our visit and it was beautiful.

We have a service dog and they welcomed him with open arms. The staff was super nice. Breakfast was really nice and everything was really clean. Location was awesome. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back.

Room had great ocean view. Room was spacious and there were a lot of amenities. It also includes buffet breakfast with dinning tables with ocean view.

What a way to kick off the Christmas season!

Pros: The location was fantastic and literally right on the beach. Easy walks to restaurants, bars, night clubs, shopping, and more. Trendy décor!
Cons: I would love to have seen some outdoor firepits on the sundecks. The space is there- why not make it a fun gathering place for winter fun?
Location: Located right on the boardwalk/beach on 9th Street. We walked all the way to 33rd Street and back several times and felt safe doing so.
We stayed in a beautiful oceanfront room on the 9th floor with the intent to decompress and prepare for the holiday season kicking off on Thanksgiving weekend. It was wonderful to walk the Boardwalk and enjoy the Christmas lights and scenery right on the beach while enjoying complimentary coffee from the hotel lobby. And of course, who wouldn't be happy waking up to sunrise on the ocean? Every employee of Spring Hill Suites we interacted with was in great spirits from the front desk to housekeeping and security.

nice hotel on the beach

great place to stay on the beach. boardwalk was seasonally decorated. great for walking, jogging, and biking. good complimentary breakfast. room was clean and comfortable with a balcony for sitting outside watching the action on the beach and viewing a sunrise.

Heatpump extremely loud.

Spent two nights. Heatpump extremely loud. Requested sheets n clean glasses. Was told they didn't have any king sheets and she got dirty used glasses from the room next door, sprayed some solution in them and gave them to us!!! We told her no thanks & used plastic cups.

We had a 1 bedroom suite that was spacious enough for 6. Very nice TV's in each room, nice indoor pool and spa that the kids really enjoyed. And awesome views of the ocean.
