Very comfortable

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant and the service in the restaurant.
Cons: Check heaters in case they're too loud and adjust them accordingly.
Location: Plenty of restaurant and eatery establishments.
Comfortable, but the heater/air conditioner was noisy so I had to get the room a comfortable temperature & hoped it stayed that temperature until I went to sleep undisturbed. Housekeeping did check in and took good care of the room.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

Posted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: The staff was very helpful, going out of their way to help a disabled traveler. My room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: NA
Location: NA
I arrived at the hotel a day or two after a major snowstorm. The staff was very helpful, going out of their way to help a disabled traveler. My room was spacious and comfortable. Perhaps my only negative was the English muffin I ordered for breakfast was hard (stale maybe?). Otherwise my stay was excellent. I would happily stay at this hotel again and probably will on my next trip to Norfolk.

Not great

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Check in staff was great, room did not really seem ready when we got to it. Drawers were all opened, lights were on and TV was left on. Booked a king room and was given two doubles because a king was not available. Bed was very uncomfortable. Hotel staff working on the floor were loud and obnoxious..screaming back and forth to each other not being considerate of guests who were sleeping.

Repeat Work Stay in Norfolk

Posted Nov 1, 2016
Pros: Convenience of location, access, reception staff, price, room comfort and Black Tuna restaurant.
Cons: Fits my needs.
Location: About 5 minutes by car to Norfolk Downtown / Water front; across from the Greyhound Bus Location; not necessarily an area for an evening stroll
Have stayed here several times over the last years when working in Norfolk. Perfect place for a good night sleep. Renovations has the rooms cleaned and upgraded ... in particular air conditioning now equipped with automatic thermostat. Rooms have all bare necessities one would expect. Highlight is and always has been to me the fact that officers and crews of the MSC (Military Sea Lift Command) are lodging here ... at times one can hear great sea stories at the bar but ... the real secret is the food at the Black Tuna restaurant/Bar. That MSC Crabmeat Burger with fries or the Tuna Tacos !!! with a nice selection of draft beers ... beats many white tablecloth restaurants.

Check-in was pleasant

Posted Oct 29, 2016
Greeted by wonderful front desk staff and very nice restaurant but the rooms had old beds and disgusting bathtubs in both rooms we were given. The company should be embarrassed to rent rooms with the condition of the tub and beat up furniture. It was walking distance to the mall. Spend a few more dollars and stay somewhere else.

We are ecstatic that you enjoyed our staff and restaurant but we apologize that the rooms were not up to your standards. We are an older property however our beds are sleep number beds and the bathtubs are being refinished as we speak. Please accept our apologies for your experience.

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
We were told that the suite had a full size refrigerator and it did not, and I needed one. We were told the room slept 5 and that the couch turned into a bed. It did not turn into a bed. The bathroom was under construction and was not cleaned before we arrived in our room. There were dead cockroaches on the carpet. The blinds did not open and shut, they were broken, and the rolling chair was broke.

Looks may be decieving!

Posted Oct 8, 2016
Pros: The lobby was very impressive and there is a nice bar with billiard tables.
Cons: poorly lit bathroom with discusting grout, peeling caulk and running toilet. Broken sleep number bed with tiny little pillows. $10 extra to park!
Location: Good nightlife and restaurants in walking distance

Older hotel, close to Nauticus

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Cons: Some updates and minor repairs. Everything worked just showing it's age.
Location: Centrally located. Close to Nauticus and naval base.
Place was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Older hotel, needs some TLC. Fitness room was hot, common problem of hotel fitness rooms.
