Stay elsewhere!

Posted May 28, 2013
Cons: Dirty & unsafe
Masters Inn was run down, room was occupied when we went to the room, people were standing outside their room watching us as we tried to go in our room making us feel like we were being checked out for later trouble. We felt safety would be an issue if we stayed in the hotel, so we cancelled our room and left.

Best reason: inexpensive

Posted May 15, 2013
Pros: Low price. Bed & pillows were good. Convenient to I-26 & area, 1 exit from I-526. Several places to eat & a small shopping center nearby.
Cons: Better cleaning, repairs to the obvious damage.
Location: Lot of history & great restaurants in Charleston area.
If the carpet had been vacuumed after the last time it was occupied, then the hotel needs a new vacuum. Tub needed replacing - damage that almost looked like a worn out, hand-sized patch in the side. Grout around lavatory had a loop onto the counter. Ice & vending in office, can be a bit of a walk from the 2nd or 3rd buildings.

The nightmare for a family

Posted Apr 8, 2013
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: It wasn't clean at all. Not for a family
Location: It was in the hood
The outside of the hotel was very nasty and dirty. When entering the room it had the worst smell and it was very hot. The furniture I wouldn't let my daughter sit down on it. When I went into the bathroom the wall had a huge hole in it and the bathtub had a huge crack in it The shower head was almost hanging in the tub. This is the worst place ever. I packed up my family and we found somewhere else to stay.

Cockroaches and Sketchy Part of Town

Posted Feb 24, 2013
Pros: None
Cons: Everything
Location: Unsafe
Expedia booked me in a smoking room at another hotel, and there were no non-smoking rooms available by the time I got to Charleston. I was on the phone with Expedia for over 1 1/2 hours, first because they refused to give me a refund, and then because they refused to step up to the plate and find me a comparable room for the same rate first charged. They finally dumped me at this hotel. Cockroaches everywhere. An off-duty policeman was stationed near the front from 11 to 7. It was so late at night that I stayed. I drew back the bedspread and lay on top of the sheets. I have never slept in more awful hotel. Expedia, great customer service - I will never book a hotel or flight with you again!

a drug and prostitution hotel.

Posted Oct 16, 2012
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: BAD
My family was asked if we wanted some drugs. Drunks were hanging around. My daughters and I were propositioned for sex. The power blew in the rooms by using the microwaves and the water was messed up.

Kathy baits wasnt as scary

Posted Jun 23, 2012
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Security
Location: Getto
The hotel sucked in every area. The ceiling was falling in, holes in the walls, dresser drawer falling apart, stains on walls and carpet, and no security lock on door. Scary people hanging around top and bottom walk ways, police patrolling the parking lot. Afraid for my life!!

Pros: I got my money back
Location: It was trashy and appeared to be dangerous at night
This hotel was nothing like the photos. It was extremely dirty. My room had two televisions one of which didn't work and it was turned facing the wall the carpets were very worn. There were people hanging around outside their rooms. It appeared to be a motel for prostitutes and drug dealers and I'm certain of it. No one should waste their money or time on this trashy place. As soon as I walked in the room and looked around I left to get my money back.
