Wonderful service at the Hampton Inn Charleston

Pros: Friendly service, cleanliness, shuttle
I stayed here for a few days as I was attending a conference in Charleston. I had a great experience here; the room was clean and air-conditioned and the bed was comfortable. They had a really good breakfast and the shuttle service was amazing. I was very impressed by the great hospitality and friendly service I received at this hotel. Special thanks to Kyle, Bill, Deon, Chris, Marissa and all the other wonderful staff. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back next time I go to Charleston.

Smelled Horrible

Pros: room looked nice
Cons: not sure and masking w/ new furnishings isn't' helping
Location: Everything to do in Charleston!
The hotel was really run down and smelled terrible! Every hallway got worse and whoever is trying to mask the smell is just making it worse. The room was clean, staff was nice but I could NOT get past the smell.

A weeks stay for sightseeing

Stay at the hotel good. Area very poor if you do not have a car. We had two days without a car and found it very difficult to find somewhere to eat dinner. Hotel staff helpful. Breakfast was not always good. Normal girl laid food etc was perfect but when she was away not enough food was put out very poor then. Hotel closing shortly. Roof leaks can smell damp.

Worst stay ever at a Hampton Inn

This was the worst for a Hampton Inn. Requested non smoking...got smoking with a nosey machine to clear the smoke....didnt work! Air condition wasnt even getting the room cold at 68 or 72.... No Fridge or Microwave. Fan in hallway was on and loud the entire weekend. Nose and people knocking on my door in the middle of night. It was just a bad experience. Worst Hampton Inn ever! The desk clerk Elizabeth was as helpful as she could be....so i had to be nice to her because she tried her Best.
