Very nice room. Actually roomy and with a couch and sitting area. Made it feel a bit more homey and comfy.

Very dissapointing

We arrived at 4pm, which is already a very late check in, after driving all day, only to be told there were no rooms available. After about 30 minutes. We were put in a room that had an air conditioning leak, resulting in the entire floor being soaking wet. We asked for another room, and were then placed in a room that definitely had not been cleaned. We were so exhausted that we just cleaned the bathtub and other areas ourselves, instead of waiting any longer. After settling in, we went to check out the pool, which turned out to be freezing cold, and there were no towels so we had to go ask for them. The man who was working seemed very frustrated and unfriendly. Another day, we tried to get in the hot tub, but it was shut down for cleaning, and when i asked when it would reopen i was told "when I'm done cleaning it". It seems the staff at this hotel need lessons in cleanliness and customer service. I wish we wouldn't have wasted our time and money here, and we will not make that mistake again.

First given a room that was a mess. Bed was unmade and floor and room was never cleaned. Went to hotel management to explain the situation and management did not believe me asked me to sit in hotel lobby until she checked it out herself. This was after a very long day of driving and with a reservation that was made months ago and prepaid. When she came back she didn't apologize just ordered the front desk clerk to give us another room. Front desk clerk was very apologetic but manager was not. New room was better but in all our travels on this 10 day vacation this was by far the worst hotel we had. I will avoid Wingate with future bookings. Additionally upon our departure there was no hotel cart available and we carried our luggage out in multiple trips. All in all a bad hotelstay experience.

Fire alarm

Had a bad experience at the hotel. initally difficult to find even with GPS as set back off main road. That night the fire alarm went off at midnight and not back in room until 2.30 aftercold and rain. Noisy dryers cleaning up the wet floors then prevented further sleep. I have complained to hotel about incident and they have not replied. All in all a poor hotel and needs lot to work on before we go back to Wingate Hotels.

Unfortunately, there was an emergency during the night and the fire department mandated a building evacuation, until it was cleared for safe re-entry. Decent
