Sink in the bedroom

Posted Aug 18, 2017
Hotel has poor hygiene, staff are fine and they cleaned as much as they could but the porch is very smelly and the feels ver cluster-phobic Adequate facilities are in place and good location for who wants to go round yet town and the beach 🌊

Overall lovely stay

Posted Jun 9, 2017
The location is excellent, close to train station/shops e.g. Aldi/ASDA/Tesco and touristy shops, close to bars and restaurants but not noisy, close to the beach and a very short stroll to the main shopping road. Owner/staff all fabulous, very friendly and helpful and have thought of everything to make for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is great with lots of choice. Would definitely recommend and would return.

You need longer than 30 minutes for breakfast. 8-30 till 9 was to early. Shower is dated Despite having family rooms. Not very family friendly

Bedrokm needs modifying

The staff were very welcoming. We were disapointed in the bedroom/bathroom, the shower and toilet were in a very small closet and the sink was in the bedroom next to the kettle/cups etc! (Very unhygenic) Also the tv was very small. However we did like the fact we could have take aways delivered and plates/cutlery were provided and a mini fridge.

Nice central stay

Posted May 25, 2016 on Hotels
We had a great stay at the Silver Jubilee. Andrew & co. were very pleasant and accommodating. He gave us a great explanation of everything and even recommended a place to eat. The room was comfortable and the mini fridge was a nice touch. We had a room facing the street and because it was the weekend the Irish Bar down the road was quite loud even at 4 and 6 am so watch out for that. Don't hold that against the hotel, though. It wasn't bothersome enough to make the stay unpleasant. Breakfast was lovely and the location is fantastic.

If the hotel can supply shampoo and soap for shower will be perfect.

August Bank holiday 2015

Posted Sep 1, 2015 on Hotels
Had a fantastic weekend here, the guesthouse is very homely, literally feels like you are staying at home, this is not a normal hotel feel, expect ornaments and chats with the extremely friendly owners who have a wealth of knowledge about the area. Very well placed for the beaches and town centre. As it is in the town centre do expect some road noise, mainly if the window is open. Book parking in advance, a very small charge for that which is very reasonable. We would definitely stop there again.
