Lovely HotelPosted Apr 26, 2017
A warm welcome on arrival. The room was lovely and fresh. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast is great with a variety to choose from. The village is very quiet, perfect base to explore North Devon. 5-10 mins to Ifracombe & 25 mins by car to get to Woolacombe which has a fantastic beach.

Relaxing stayPosted Oct 15, 2016 on Hotels
This wonderful property set on the hillside of a quiet country village was an absolute joy to stay for two nights in early October. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and inviting and gave us a great alternative (Arlington Court) from our intended visit to Lundy Isle which was canceled due to weather conditions at sea. Room 9 which we enjoyed looked out over the beautifully manicured gardens and rolling hillsides beyond. The queen bed was very comfortable, and the power shower was fabulous. Breakfast was top rate and cooked with local produce by the man of the house, any combination was catered for, and the hosts came and had their breakfast in the same room and discussed your plans for the day. Two doors up the hill was a quaint village pub 'Ye Old Globe' circa 1645, great beer and food. Just down the road by a mile is another hostelry called 'The Sawmills', recently refurbished and good food although a little pricey. We would defiantly recommend this hotel guest house for the relaxation alone, and have already booked a stay next April to go to Lundy and see the Puffin's.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and had the most fantastic stay. Had a double room with own balcony overlooking the beatiful gardens which made it even better. Lovely place, hosts and the most delicious breakfast. Will definitely stay again when visiting the area. Cannot fault this place, just perfect.

Great service and hotelPosted Oct 24, 2015 on Hotels
Very hospitable. Lovely gardens and view. Not much to do in that area but great for a quiet getaway. Need a car to get anywhere though.

Though larger than a typical English B+B, we still had friendly service from Phil and Lynne, including excellent breakfasts. Good value evening meals were available at the Globe, a short walk up the road
