Upon arrival there were two people at the desk, both on a speakerphone with another employee. 5 minutes later they finally looked to me. One employee said to the other " I have a paper due tomorrow so I am going in the back" even though there were two people in line after me. That was the best part of the experience. As I headed up to the room the smell was overbearing. The carpet was wet in the hallway, the entire hotel smelled ok disinfectant and there was entire pieces of carpet missing. Apparently the hotel had been damaged by hurricane Maria, but nobody had bothered to mention this. The room was clean but smelled. I stayed for the night because I had little choice. Having checked in late there was little chance of finding another hotel close by. I walked to a nearby restaurant and stayed as long as I could. Upon returning to the hotel I was welcomed by a dog barking in the room on one side and several kids screaming on the other. I understand there had been a hurricane two weeks earlier, and that people from Pierto RICO had evacuated the island and were living in the hotel, so the dog and kids were not an issue. The issue was the fact the hotel did not uphold any type of noise standards and rented rooms that probably should have not been rented. A warning upon booking would have been nice.

$75.00 incidental fee is not cool.

Posted Oct 8, 2017
Carpets dirty. Ice machine on 3rd floor looks corroded. The whole place smells like degreaser cleaning disinfectant. Receptionist ask for my credit card and $75 was deducted from my account. She said ‘maybe’ in 5 days I get that refunded. Hope my checks don’t bounce. Wish I knew of this fee before making my online paid reservation.

Thank you for providing your feedback. $75 is an incidental charges since you booked with a 3rd party website. This is very normal for hotels to charge incidental charges. Please ask the 3rd party vendor to provide you with a complete disclosure of charges.

Filthy carpet

Posted Oct 8, 2017
The carpet in my room was so dirty the dogs would not even sit on it they kept picking up their paws I had to put towels down on the floor so that they would eat. The staff was excellent and they are doing the best with what they had to work with however they can't control the carpet the bed was made it was clean the room was clean but the carpet truly made it unbearable.

this place needs a lot of work

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Pros: the room was okay
Cons: everything I mentioned above should have been seriously addressed !
Location: located right next to a mcdonalds and across the street from a wendys, not a good thing, to me.
there was stiil a state of disrepair from hurricane Irma. the pool was still closed, areas of carpet ripped up, water leaking from the ceiling in the 2nd floor hallway and some of the lower wall on that same floor ripped out. and one of the elevators was not functioning. none of that stops them from renting rooms for the almighty dollar at the expense of their sucker guests. the coffee at breakfast was like tea, it was so weak ,it was ridiculous, the lack of attention to something that simple. under those circumstances, a big discount should have been offered.

Good customer service- bad plumbing in our room and the staff could not find a plunger. Maintenance was also not available and we had to wait until the next day.

horrible stay

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
the room was filty, garbage stack up by the door, the bathroom backing with water so as you take a shower the water would come up past your ankle, the sink backing up as well, they never cleaned the toilet and the breakfast was horrible. The bagels had to be about 1 week old. They ha waffle, bagel and boiled eggs and yogurt. however there were no eggs and yogurt and i asked the black lady for more and she looked so mad I waited for 15mins and left and went to Denny's for breakfast.
