Amazing and pleasant stay

Posted Jun 27, 2017
Pros: everything
Cons: massage should be available in house and for longer hours instead 5.30 PM for Saturday night .We asked this service but advised unavailable.
Location: There is IGA supermarket is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There are few cafes around but the good one is near the water Anchor Buoy cafe and bar
I stay for weekend , purposely stay away from busy surfers paradise. From the minute walk in to the hotel ,warm welcome by professional staff ( Simon) . Room was clean, big and bed so comfy. Balcony good size to enjoy the cuppa. Manicured and lush garden landscapes and saw Mr Kangarooo hoping around near the pool. One acre lagoon beach pool to enjoy the morning swim and enjoy the sunset / sunrise. Requested to check in two hours earlier is not an issue because the room is available and staff happy to accommodate. Minor thing they forgot to prepare the tooth brush . Apart from THUMBS UP !! I will definitely come back. Loving it!!!!!!

Faultless, never seen such a clean bathroom,

Posted May 28, 2017
Pros: The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms especially. The colonial style and the gardens, the restaurants, fireplaces and staff.
Cons: Maybe mapping towards your room, it could get a little confusing as there were paths going everywhere.
Location: The marina was right at the door, and golf courses too. There was a smaller shopping centre with Coles. chemist but larger Westfields within 20 min.
We stayed here to go to the Boat Show. Not only was it right outside the door, literally, and we were given free admission but the hotel itself and the room were outstanding. The bed was extremely comfortable, there was no noise coming through from other rooms, the facilities in the room were well thought out and the complimentary products were high quality. The beach pool and pool itself were large and picturesque, the hotel had a beautiful colonial feel and the restaurants were second to none. Even walking in the gardens was a treat as you had to walk through them to your room, or you could hire a bike which were all around or call on a golf buggy. It was close enough to Surfers and the theme parks. Cannot wait to return!

Sanctuary Cove Golf

Excellent resort for a golf stay, great courses at the resort...and numerous good restaurants at the marina. Rooms are roomy and very functional. Wifi seemed tricky.

Nice hotel, some disappointing factors

Posted May 7, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: It is a beautiful hotel in a great location
Cons: Better Coffee & Tea selections in room, More pillows in room/cupboard, better doonas, more TV channels & fotel to choose from
Location: Great Location, right near Marina village plenty of restaurants and shops to visit
Reception staff lovely, Concierge staff excellent offered to drive us to our room in their golf buggy a nice start felt looked after. Were updraged to a partial marina view very nice, room was clean and nice and as it was a spcial anniversary they had left a complimentary bottle of champgne and chocolates in the room, a very nice surprise. The Bathroom ok, no space on benchtop to put any toiletries though, the shower a little disappointing, not very big and no shelf or anywhere to put shampoo & conditioner, soap etc. Coffee & Tea in room limited choice. The bed was not comfortable though too soft, and the doona had feathers which you could feel poking through the doona cover, that prickled throughout the night. Had room service, there was not alot of choice which was a little dissapointing and none of the condiments were labelled which when there are a few would have been a good idea. Breakfast was included that was really nice, just wish they topped things up more regularly, had to wait/ask for several items

The hotel was amazing and the staff were great. We only had one issue and that was one of the bath robes smelt of poo. We raised this with reception and they apologized at the time, but have not heard anything else since.

Elegant Quality & Classic Resort

Posted May 3, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: The staff are friendly and professional. Especially the reception and porters. Service to the village was excellent. Breakfast very good.
Cons: The restaurant facilities were limited especially on Sun/Mon when most restaurants/cafes in the village are closed. A casual buffet would be great.
Location: The resorts location allows for a peaceful experience. Good golfing facilities nearby. The village provides quality boutiques and restaurants
The Intercontinental is a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary. It was delightful to view kangaroos grazing in view of our room in the afternoons and an abundance of wildlife singing and roaming the well maintained grounds. The outdoor facilities are so generous in size that it creates a feeling of space and comfort. It pleases us that Intercontinental have maintained their original style and quality. Also maintained in Singapore. They are iconic.

Getting a bit old and tired in parts. Seafood buffet was very disappointing. Whilst seafood itself was nice, it was very limited but most disappointing was the hot food which was way overcooked and dry. If it was a $20 buffett fair enough, but it wasnt and the location & brand demands much better quality and service for the hefty price. Unfortuantely not an Intercontinental standard
