Great beach resort

I enjoy this hotel. It is older and is getting a bit run down but the staff is great. Food not so much

Decent hotel but beware of time share pressure

Posted Aug 31, 2017
We enjoyed the room, the pools, the all-inclusive elements, and the activities and shows. We did not appreciate the time share aspect being forced upon us from the start of our stay. We got the impression that the hotel staff in he lobby was more interested in hooking us into the time share than helping with our Expedia reservation. They tried to delay us going to our room until we listened to a sales presentation. And the check-in staff failed to honor the all-inclusive rate we purchased until we pressed the issue and demanded he provide us with the wristbands. After that issue was resolved, we were able to enjoy our stay. It did leave a terrible first impression though.

Staff need better training but decent

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: Great cleaning staff and nice pools. Good ocean access
Cons: Better staff training and processes - guests need to feel safe so ensure you are monitoring inappropriate behaviour of guests.
Location: Good location but staff only give recommendations for restaurants where they get a kick back.
My family and i arrived after a long trip. Sadly check in was forever and they gave me a junior suite instead of a full suite i had paid for. We went to the room, found the proof in email, and had to fight to get them to change the room. As a woman, i finally asked my husband to intervene as the two male managers were condescending. We got in the room and all good after that - we avoided the mandatory pitch to upgrade us to all inclusive (seriously just let us get to our room). We ate off site for the three days or cooked in the room. Pools were good but sadly management didnt care about the narco music the drunks were listening to on Saturday afternoon (we moved our kids to the other pool) as clearly management didnt want to offend the sketchy partiers. Checkout took a ridiculous amount of time too - staff need to find better processes and have better training.

Close to beach and fairly close to downtown

Posted Aug 19, 2017
The staff was not interested in helping when they knew we were not interested in time share and were not all inclusive so we were not informed of hotel events and were constantly haggled for drinks and mischarged. We were always questioned for our room number for no reason. We felt like convicts. The hotel was beautiful but they used a terrible chemical to clean and smelled toxic every day...weird they did not start this until the 4th day if our 9 day stay. Also, at check out at 11, I asked what we could do because our flight was but until 4. My kid was hassled when trying to sit in the cafe and eat lunch and we were told we must live to the "hospitality" room which was small and dark?? What we can't jay to eat at the restaurant or sit in the beach for 2 hours after check out? We never felt welcome at this hotel. I would not recommend.

Great hotel for families with kids

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: Kitchenette
Cons: I disliked the open air lobby, the mattress was a bit hard, there was no shower curtain in my bath and no way to stop water from going everywhere.
Location: Airport, restaurants and shopping near by
It is more of a famil friendly hotel. It is close to the airport, shopping and eateries. The price is great, and if you are traveling with kids, having a kitchenette is great. I was not traveling with kids so the bustling kid activity was nit the right fit for me. I also did not like the open air concept of the lobby. I prefer to be cool until I leave the hotel.
