Also keine gute Grundlage.

A Home from HomePosted Jun 9, 2015 on Hotels
Very pleasant, amazing service where the staff will go that extra mile for you as a customer.Im totally satisfied with my stay theres nothing I coukd fault even if i wanted to. I would definitely go back there if I needed to spend time in London again. I would also highly recommend it to friends and family. And was impressed by the helpful polite way one is treated with. Fantastic position with the tube 2Minutes away plus lots of convenience stores, mini supermarkets, pubs & good takeaways. What more could one say. Apartfrom super value and a home from home.

Queen's DrivePosted May 29, 2015 on Hotels
The lobby and restaurant are fresh and modern; I don't know what the rooms are like in the main hotel as I was in the 'Wing'. It appears to be an old convereted house. 'old' being the key word. The room was grubby from old age and not being maintained well (not dirty exactly just in need of work - paint scraped off wall, rusted and painted over wall sections in bathroom) the bed was ancient and too soft, and the pillows were lumpy. The bathroom smelled of damp or mildew and was not pleasant. The man on the desk was lovely. The free wifi that only worked in the lobby was so slow I couldn't actually do anything and it kept logging me out. Basic but plentiful breakfast. The room really put me off. End.

Would not stay here againPosted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
On arrival we realised that this wasn't a hotel in its own right but an annex to the hotel next door. We checked in there & asked for a pen to write down the wifi password. Oh don't bother we were told, it doesn't work down there. You'll have to come up here to use it (hotel reception). Once in our room we discovered that the door had clearly been kicked in at least once previously & badly repaired. We couldn't actually lock the door from inside. And we discovered later it rattled a lot, whenever the people in the adjacent room went in and out - possibly whenever any door in the whole building opened and closed. We were woken up at 11:10 pm by someone from the hotel banging on what we think was the adjacent room's door shouting to be let in to sort out their heating problem (ok so not *that* late but we'd had a very long day and gone to bed early). The pillows were as thin as biscuits but at least they were flexible enough to fold in half and serve their intended purpose. If it weren't for the rattling door and the comings and goings of other guests it would actually have been a quiet room. The ensuite was very small but had a good shower - the paint flaking down from the hatch above the basin was a bit unpleasant though. We were very glad it was only for one night and wouldn't stay there again. If you choose to stay here bring some extra pillows and possibly some beer mats to fold up and stuff in between the door and its frame. It wasn't worth the price paid.

Misleading and BadPosted Apr 20, 2015
Booked through Expedia and stayed for one night. Nowhere on Expedia did it say we had to check in at the Pemberry hotel which was very confusing, especially as there is a hotel next door called The Queens Hotel. We were taken through the main hotel to a drab and dirty building at the back, clearly the budget section. We were charged extra because, despite there being only two of us, we'd booked a room containing a double and a single bed as that was the only room available. However when we got to the room it contained only a double bed. The room was small and very cold, the radiator did not appear to work. The bedding had small stains on it and we could not get any hot water, either that night or the morning after. There was a bright white light right outside the window that was on all night and lit up the room even with the curtains closed, making sleep almost impossible. The room was advertised as including a breakfast and wifi. We tried to get the wifi to work but couldn't, when we asked at the desk we were told the wifi is only available in the lobby, it's incredibly misleading to advertise the room as including wifi if it isn't available in the room. In the morning we went for the breakfast that was included, if you want a cooked breakfast you have to pay extra. I wouldn't even call what was available a continental breakfast, it was basically toast, jam portions, cheap ham/cheese and cereal. The staff were watching a film on the big tv in the dining area which contained

TerriblePosted Mar 31, 2015
Cons: Everything could be improved.
bathroom was dirty, dead flies on ceiling, mouldy shower head, mouldly tiles, broken window, had to walk in the rain to get to our room which was not even connected to the actual hotel, breakfast was horrible.

It was fantastic, very good placement and a lovely hotel. Reviews are way too harsh on here. Would stay again!
