Creeper hotel on the water.Posted Sep 1, 2015
Staff was rude, room was blistering hot, beds were "okay". I think I would have rather stayed at a Motel 6 or in the back seat of my car.

In need of updates!!!Posted Aug 31, 2015
Cons: The whole place!
Location: Good access to highway and to the fishing in the Columbia River
Terrible stay! I thought it was 1983 all over again

This hotel is located right at the west basin.Posted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Great location if you are moored at the west basin.
Cons: Cleanliness could be improved. I understand that there are new owners so hopefully this will improve.
Location: Two local breweries with great food are located about 1 mile away. There is a great foot/bike/trolley path along the river that is very nice.
If you are fishing the Columbia and mooring at the west basin you can't beat this location. The restaurant is closed but you are within walking distance to many restaurants (or take the trolley). Beds are comfortable. Rooms are dated and could be cleaner but for a bunch of people fishing...no big deal. Great views of the marina!

No bePosted Aug 30, 2015
No bed covers and shower had paint pealing from the ceiling. I had to bend over the shower head to wash my hair. The ice machine was broken.

Love the view of the marina.Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Loved the view, pet friendly, and very clean and roomy. Also, like that they had free DVD's you can check out and watch.
Cons: I just couldn't figure out the controls to get the TV cable stations to work. But they have a wide variety of free DVD's you can watch.
Location: Great view of marina. Real close to the Astoria bridge to Washington. Just down the street from the Maritime museum. Close to road to the column.
Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but we were quite pleased. Great views of the marina. Either you can sit on your private deck or have your curtains open in front of your double glass doors to see the view. Room clean. Beds very comfortable. Older motel, but has some upgrades. Pet friendly. I will stay there again and recommend it to others. Reasonable price.

Convenient location for fishingPosted Aug 26, 2015
Cons: Clean up parking lot area.
Location: The bistro restaurant within walking distance of the hotel has very good food offerings. Reservations strongly suggested.
If coming to Astoria for fishing the Columbia, this location can't be beat. Right next to the marina where many of the fishing guides moor their boats. Hotel is OK and staff is efficient. No breakfast offering, so plan ahead as many quick food stops don't open until 6:00 AM.

Convenient to the marina docks.Posted Aug 25, 2015
We stayed here because we could walk out if our room in the morning and meet our fishing guide at the dock without having to drive anywhere. The room is big but no couch. It does have a refrigerator and a microwave as well as a coffee maker. The beds were full not queen. The room was clean so it met our needs. If you want to be right next to the boat docks it works great but it is s no frills motel.

pretty run down, beautiful view of marinaPosted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: The view
Cons: Almost everything
hotel is pretty run down. the ice machine was broken and didn't get fixed during our stay. The tv in our room was a Zenith to give you some idea how old it was. there is no breakfast served in the morning, although the coffee in the lobby wasn't bad. Staff was not too concerned about your stay. would not recommend this hotel under normai circumstances.

Good views of marinaPosted Aug 22, 2015
I loved that our room's balcony overlooked the marina and gave a view of the spectacular bridge. And the hotel is in a good location for eating out and viewing the town. Hotel staff quite helpful and pleasant. With just a little more effort and attention to detail this could be a really great place to stay. Our room was missing a chair on the balcony and we couldn't get any ice for our journey because it had run out (one ice machine - which keeps breaking down - is totally inadequate for a hotel of this size).
