It's very hard to find the hotel as there are no street signs and the staff doesn't really know how to direct you other than "put it in your gps". Ours didn't work in the area so we had to wing it. It's down a really really bumpy road. Like, damage your car, bumpy. The hotel itself is great! They offer you a cold towel and juice drink when you arrive. The lobby is open with comfy seating, beautiful decor and artwork.
Check-in was easy and the bellboy was very nice and helpful. He took us to our room and showed us all the workings (tv, air conditioner, bathroom, etc.) We had a 1 bdrm suite and loved it. Very spacious, modern, and gorgeous. But be warned, ants and gnats are everywhere! This is to be expected because you're essentially in the jungle, but just be prepared. They were all over our room. We requested they come and spray and they did immediately. That was a temporary fix though.
The breakfast buffet was good. But check the food because bugs are still everywhere (it's an open space also).
The excursions were fun! I would compare what they offer to other companies though. From what I saw, you get more for your money with other companies depending on what you want to do.
They don't have a gym but a nearby hotel allows you to use theirs (which is very small but effective - 1 treadmill).
The pool area is nice but the beach is rocky. They offer bikes to ride into town for free. It's also walkable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
