Relaxing and care free. I will tell all my family and friends to go and experience this great island and Hotel. The drinks are on key. The staff could not be better. Plus a show every night.
This is a great hotel to experience the entire culture of Playa de Coco and they have easy and cheap shuttle services to other locations such as Playa Hermosa. There are countless bars and restaurants within walking distance and the food on site it good and relatively cheap!
This is my second time staying at Riu Palace. The Costa Rica location is beautiful, we saw lots of wildlife just walking on the beach. The only downside to this resort is the location. You have to pay for shuttle service to go to local beaches. They charge $15 per person roundtrip to Coco and $30 ...
Gorgeous location, nice rooms, terrific breakfast with fresh custom omlettes. Only negative was the price of drinks at the bar. Highest we paid anywhere, made you want to bring your own. Otherwise outstanding.
The hotel is amazing! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant has amazing food! The staff Kevin, Carlos and Steven we awesome! Just an FYI for people coming it is remote so to go to Tamarindo is about an hour drive but not a bad drive. The road is a dirt road (on it for about 30min) ...

I can especially comment on Victor at the beach bar, he made our stay much more enjoyable with his presence and nice conversations. Hotel is very clean, breakfast was delicious. Overall I can ...
, staff was really pleasant and very helpful. beautiful views, be forewarned that Flamingo beach which is very pretty is not close good 15 minute walk, clean, breakfast was acceptable, dining area has great views, only real negative was a slight sewer smell on occasion on main deck, lots of costa ...
Very close to the beach, store on site, and close to the main stretch makes this a convenient place to stay. Nice pool and dining area in and feels safe. The staff was helpful and friendly. You won't mistake it for a 5 star, but for the price and location, it's a very good value choice.
