The staff was outstanding, everyone was very sweet and helpful. The pool was very nice and the grounds were extremely well-kept. My only issue was the beach. It was incredibly beautiful to look at, but the shore was very rocky, and sometimes it was difficult getting into the water. The upside is, if you want a private beach, this is as close to private as you can get, as it is difficult for the public to access. We had a rental car so we drove to Playa Conchal and Dantita Beach, both of which I found more desirable with water color and clarity. But Sugar Beach hotel is perfect for couples/honeymooners, as it is very beautiful and quiet, and we saw a lot of kids there was well. Low tide has nice little pools for toddlers
