Older property but clean and comfortable. Beds comfortable, good shower and new air conditioner. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Be aware there is a large flight of stairs to some rooms. Staff at check in and out very friendly, efficient and helpful. Good location and parking on street was easy.

Booked a standard room. Didn’t know it was in the ground level. Felt like a basement room. carpet was wet here and there and wasn’t cleaned properly. Not worth for the money you paid.

Although the street address is on a busy road, the guest rooms face a quiet back street, which only become noisy around 8:00AM. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the property, because I suffer from a dust allergy. The area is delightful, and the Mater Hospital is only a short walk away. There is a good bistro at the North Sydney Hotel on the corner. Only drawback is that on-site car parking at the Hotel costs $35.00 per day (which appears to be a standard all-day rate for nearby carparks). However, there is ample on-street parking in the road behind the hotel, which is unlimited between 6:00PM and 8:30AM.

Clean and comfortable
This was great! Clean, comfortable and exceptional Customer Service. The rooms are fairly old, but have everything you need. I will stay again! It is a nice easy walk into North Sydney. Also the gardens are gorgeous! It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy them!

We had a very large room, comfortable and clean. There is a beautiful park across the road and Shops and Restaurants are just a few minutes away. The staff is friendly with Maurizio at the Reception being the kindest person you could ever meet. I highly recommend this Hotel!

This was amazing value for money! The room was huge, lovely old building that reminds me of a cute bed and breakfast. Everything worked as it should. My only small issue was not being able to get 2 room keys.

Best to remove the image of the dining room / shared meals facility from general property photos. As there are no such facilities on the premises anymore. It’s a bit misleading otherwise.

Parking procedure a bit awkward. Parking is nearby, not at actual premises, which you find out about only on arrival, and hard to find; then have to carry your stuff back to accommodation. Limited parking in a tight area.

A lovely reasonably priced hotel - hard to find in Sydney now. I moved from a bleak overpriced motel into this place and loved it. Historic building - I stayed in a lovely large room at the front. Simple and not fancy / ultra modern but had everything I needed, with some real charm as well. I know the neighbourhood well/ nice amenities ( opposite park) and good transport links to the city.

Liked the 'older style'. Every taxi driver confused this place with the North Sydney Hotel 100m away. Specifically asked for parking as I am on walking tick; the request was ignored. However the duty manager did his best to help us find somewhere close to park.

This was our second stay here. The first time was great - a small, cosy, clean room. This time? The same cost/level of room, but a dungeon. Hair from a previous occupant was smeared over the shower, light bulbs didn’t work, aircon blew hot air only, there was no fire extinguisher outside. It was appalling.
