Thank you for your feedback and your kind comments regarding the team here and the pretty room that you stayed in. I just wanted to cover the points you made regarding the costings. Each room is individually designed with different amenities in each room. Some have separate showers, some baths with showers and some with showers only and the prices are categorised into room class. Plas Dinas Country House does certainly celebrate the royal connection and history of the Armstrong-Jones family. All of the rooms have recently been redesigned by the owners to represent a person or role within the family, such as Princess Margaret or Lord Snowdon, with much of their memorabilia carefully placed around the house. This was carried out since 2020, with just 3 bathrooms yet to redesign. The fabulous restaurant and extensive refurbishment I would hope, doesn't point towards a company or accommodation provider that lives on it's history. We absolutely adore it and will continue to develop the beautiful house where we can do so. I am sorry that you felt this way. Unfortunately a lift would not be permitted to be installed in our graded country house. The stairs are fairly gentle and we do have one room located on the ground floor if walking is an issue. Booking with a 3rd party means that hotels pay around 20% commission before additional fees such as VAT and the general costs are taken off. Due to this and the huge costs to run a 400 year old building we are unable to reduce the prices any further. We do appreciate your comments but at this time the prices just about cover the running costs. We do it because we love it. Thank you once again for choosing to stay with us. We really hope the lack of lift doesn't stop you from returning.

Thank you for your feedback. The room has been recently refurbished during lockdown. Having only taken over in September last year we have carried out extensive works to the hotel. The bathroom will be refurbished, although in perfect working order but there is a limit to what we can do in the time that we have so far had. Sadly during lockdown there is very little chance to get a trade person to renovate a bathroom but we are unbelievably proud of the extensive works that we have done with incredible reviews from guests, including this room which features incredible swag and tail curtains and a bespoke 7ft headboard. The chef is unique and of special high standard, we are yet to find another chef alike so we advertise that we close the restaurant on a Sunday and Monday to give him time off with his family. We offer light bites on these days. We are sorry that you selected to stay with on days of which the restaurant closes. The hotel is situated in an extremely quiet area and is very unusual that a guest would leave at 5am, we ourselves live here and its incredibly quiet. You wake up to birds singing and fall asleep to the beautiful wildlife that surrounds us. I am sorry that you were disappointed. The rooms are clearly listed and sold individually and each floor listed. We are sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. There is an additional internal door to prevent noise that we recommend closing but as we say the building is in such a quite location that there really are very little noises. The building is of significant historic value and any other measures to a 400 year old house would not be approved. We kindly thank you for staying with us.
