The stay was very disappointing. Firstly, I always chose Novotel in the past where ever I went , be it NSW, VIC, QLD etc. but this time they have made sure that I never stay at Novotel again. I paid good amount of money and upgraded my room to ocean view with balcony. The room was not clean, the chairs and table in balcony were dirty, one lamp wasnt working, drinking glasses were dirty. At around 10 pm, I started having some irritation in my foot, i did not bother. Then it started paining more, I looked at it and it was bleeding, I had a small piece of glass in my foot. I took it out. and started looking at carpet for glass. I noticed that there were tiny small pieces of glasses all over the carpet. Then I noticed there were some red stains on the carpet as well at 3 , 4 spots. I called manager to change my room as I had my kids with me. we changed the room.
Another dodgy stuff , I ordered two caps in my room and when I was moving out, receptionist told me that they would deduct around 14 dollars from my card. 9 dollars for caps and 5 dollar for some tray service. lol . It was never mentioned to me by the person on call when I placed the order , the person who delivered did not mention it to me.
I ordered room service before as well at Novotell, this TRAY SERVICE was never there. It was not mentioned in the menu as well.
It may be another way by Novotel to make up for the days people did not travel due to Covid.
Its not about 5 dollars, its about transparency.
