Great locationPosted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Location , Staff & food
Cons: Sort out the flooring as you could here every movement from the room upstairs and when they have 3 young kids thats a lot of movement
The location of the hotel is good and the staff were friendly the breakfast was very good and the rooms were clean the only down side was the noise from the floor boards of the room above and for this reason alone we would most likely not return.

Take ear plugs!Posted Aug 22, 2015
It was not made clear that the Victoria Hotel is actually over a pub! Loud noise until closing time - then traffic noise from the main road right next to it. The room was OK, but the duvet was really heavy and the bed not comfortable. Breakfast was fine and the female staff were nice. However, I would not return.

Excellent location and good value for pricePosted Aug 1, 2015
Location is excellent. Near town centre. Across from bus and train station but also has onsite parking (which can be expensive and a pain to find within Scarborough). Hotel itself. Rooms clean. Breakfast good. All staff found to be very friendly. Bar onsite a bonus if the weather is bad or you want to be near your bed for your last one! Bar also does good value meals. Stayed on various occasions and will return. Cannot fault for the price.

In need of some TLCPosted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Proximity to venue for a family wedding.
Cons: General redecoration and attention to dated and poor quality plumbing.
Reception location not obvious. First room poorly appointed and toilet not working - not usable. Transferred to second room, smaller but better furnished, cold tap on bath not working! Car park and entrance from car park very scruffy. Hotel very much showing its age. Although over a pub noise was not a problem.

OK but run down.Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Large comfy room. Included breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Noise not too bad despite old not-soundproof floors.
Cons: General facilities very worn and faded. Lift call button broken on our floor, doors squeaky, only enough hot water for 1 bath and 1.5 showers.
Location: Lots to do in Scarborough - would go back!
Overnight visit with 2 children. Children loved hotel. Convenient central location good, generally pleasant stay, but hotel felt run down and worn. Also slightly annoyed that they started cleaning our room at 9:55 for 10:00 checkout because we seemed to have left, even though I hadn't done a final sweep for toys left under beds etc.

good hotel with friendly staff, we booked a double room with a 2 year old but only had a double bed,so child had to sleep with us.A bit noisy as we were above a pub,not really for young children but apart from these little faults we had a good stay and would go again just as a couple.

Being in a room....Posted May 22, 2015 on Hotels
Well where do I start. Turning up to a pub having to wait for a few old men to get their pints before being greeted to confirm I was actually at the hotel is an odd start. Being in a room with no toiletries or hair dryer is livable. Being in a room with no hot water... Being in a room where the mattresses were that bad it would have been more comfortable without them... Being in a room where no two floor boards were pointing in the same direction or level... Being in a room where the radiators get very hot and heat the curtains up... All these points made for a fun time but being in a room where you are stared at by Seve Ballesteros all night long will mean we will not be going back. Booked for two nights stayed for one.
