DON'T GO FOR THE POOL & SLIDE

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: The rooms were comfortable, updated and clean
Cons: pool
The rooms are nice, I'll give them that. The pool was disgusting, which is a major disappointment and the reason we stayed here to begin with. To put it in my daughter's words, "It smells like fish and pee." The pool was overcrowded - like a bad movie scene. The pool is tiny. There were no towels, and the lifeguard told me my kids couldn't go down the slide without a $10 wristband. I had JUST come from the front desk, where the curt woman working specifically told me I didn't need anything to go swimming. I specifically asked about that before we even put our suits on! The front desk attendant was never nice. Never smiled. Was not helpful. The lifeguard, on the other hand, was very attentive and cordial. If the room hadn't been nice, I wouldn't have stayed.

Hotel stay good, but

Posted Jun 20, 2017
Pros: clean rooms
Cons: crowd control in lobby, restaurant, in halls when the kids were not being supervised.
Location: Not applicable
Had no problems with the hotel, room, or staff, but when we arrived we were swamped with kids in the lobby, restaurant area that were there for soccer tournaments. The kids were loud, scuffling, and messing around with each other. The parents, sponsors, coaches, etc. weren't managing their kids very well in my opinion. They should be respectful to others that are staying there. Not like a mob mentality. Sorry, but being a retired teacher this is just lack of supervision on the part of the parents, sponsors, or coaches. Sad that this is the perception of what it like these days.

Right next to I-25

Posted May 15, 2017 on Orbitz
Location: Mimi's Cafe was across the interstate where we had breakfast very early the next day. Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse for dinner are also close by.
Close to the Interstate. Easy to book online. The hotel looks new and the rooms are great. There's no continental breakfast but they there is a restaurant downstairs to buy food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Staycation

Posted Apr 14, 2017
Room was clean, staff was nice with the exception of our check out person - who just didn't speak, breakfast was very good! We chose his place because of the pool and it did get too full at one point. We will definitely stay there again!

Day I stayed they had an event on the second floor and they didn't let me know when I was checking in. There was not enough parking available I ended up getting a spot finally when someone left. I mentioned this when checking out and they said they ended up opening up parking next door and I mentioned having that for event parking only or at least letting your guests know about parking . I also was disappointed in that I booked the hotel so we, my children and I ,could use the water slide, and was informed when getting the bands that it was 6year+ to use so we didn't get to use it.the freeway which is right there was load enough to hear

Nice hotel but too close to noisy traffic. Difficulty sleeping after long flight.

Worried for the next person

Posted Mar 31, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel and the rooms were nice. However, the tub was extremely slippery. My 13 year old son slipped while taking a shower, fortunately, he was not injured. I showered about 10 min after him and I took slipped. Unfortunately, I was not as lucky. I bumped my head and had to go to urgent care for stitches and for a concussion protocal. Not sure if it was the cleaning product or why it was so slick. Nevertheless, there wasn't a mat or any slip strips or anything on the tub. it was the bare tub. I was not severely injured, thank God, but someone older than me or less fortunate than me could have been seriously injured.

Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly. They have a nice pool with a slide for the kids, but didn't really get a chance to use it because the pool was always overcrowded. It's a small pool, and there were way too many people in the pool. If you want to swim, best time is in the morning. They have a small bar for adults. This hotel does not offer a continental breakfast which was disappointing. Parking is awful. We had to park on the side of the building. It was not well lit, so cars could easily get broken into. Overall it was a fairly good stay.
