Disappointing stay. I contacted weeks ahead of time to let them know that our one night stay was our honeymoon, and said if they could put any extra care into making the room special for us, we would really really appreciate it. (Btw the room we booked was the fanciest, most expensive room they offer- the Longwood suite). I figured maybe they would leave a lil bottle of champagne or a note or rose petals (like the multiple photos they advertise of those things). Not only did they not do anything at all to make the room or stay special in any way shape or form, they didn’t even clean it. Dead bugs everywhere. Brown stuff splattered on the walls, doors, and window blinds. Mold on the floors. Multiple light bulbs out. The bath water is literally urine yellow- but they left a note that says to ignore the “tea colored” water, and that people pay extra money to have “mineral” baths like that.
Plus there are NO employees or staff there to greet you or explain how to find your room. It’s all self service (a random guest had to help us). I usually appreciate contact free things as a major introvert- but the lack of any kind of personal attention or care during the stay was really disappointing.
