The staff was very friendly. The hotel is beautiful, but the bathrooms need to be updated. My room had a view to Parque Central it was spectacular.

this is the worst hotel i ever stayed ,room need to be updated blankets and pillows are dirty and the staff is not helpful and friendly,i will never gonna stay in this dirty hotel again

The Gran Hotel Sula is no longer a nice property. The sheets were torn and stained, the furniture and room fittings were in poor shape. Really sad to have booked this property. It is no longer a Best Western property.

The hotel is older, the water pressure and hot water are in poor condition. The gym has no treadmills. The sheets are too small for the beds.

It was good ,and not complain Only thing was they offering breakfast but when i ask about breakfast to the from desk they were tol me when somebody reserve through the websi they dont provided a the service .they need to change the policy because breakfast have to be wether you reserve on line o not, they need to provaded breakfas .

Central location, good value
Came in on bus in afternoon, stayed one night and left for airport next morning. It was great for us for a stop over. It was fun to be on the Parque Central with an interesting down town shopping mall with good food choices right across the park. It’s not a US style luxury hotel but it’s clean, solid and comfortable and as such a good value for the price.

Via Expedia, my husband and I reserved and paid for FOUR (4) nights from Wed. Sept 20, 2017 thru Saturday, Sept 23, 2017. The very same day we arrived asked for a tour of the room, a Junior Suite, assigned to us. We were disgusted with the dirty condition and asked the manager for our money back and they said no way, you already paid Expedia, call them. We only slept there one night, the day we arrived. We left early the next day. Due to the horrible dirty condition of the bath room and the room in general. We took pictures. We ask everyone to stay away from the Gran Hotel Sula. We give them a FAILURE rating of HALF star rating.

For a Hotel in the heart of San Pedro
For a Hotel in the heart of San Pedro Sula it definitely left a lot to wish for. Lack of a doormen, had to wait at front desk for 30 mins because lack of staff. Traditional food was nonexistent in the hotels restaurant. Terrible, horrible wifi conection. The only good thing i can say is that it was safe. Security was available for all 24 hrs.

Grand Hotel Sula Not so Grand
This hotel is very old and not updated at all. The service was not very good either. Upon check in they did not have my room I reserved. I had to argue with them to get the room I reserved. I booked to be closer to the center of town, but the park across the street is not the safest. I have stayed at the Hilton Princess and the Intercontinental and they are both much better hotels.

Nice older Hotel close to everything.
Stayed here for 8 days. Hotel staff were very nice and most spoke English. The restaurant menu needs updating and most of the food taste the same. My room was clean, however had to change rooms because the air conditioning was not cooling the room properly.

hotel is in great location, close to just about everything but building itself needs TLC...lobby is very well kept, lobby furniture needs upgrading though...elevators very small. Rooms are very small but in ok condition given the age of this property...did notice some maintenance and housekeeping issues in room but nothing worth reporting. Internet is free and connection was reliable, we were able to skype with no problem. Restaurant, food and service were good. Did receive a voucher for breakfast with room per person but given that we were leaving before 6am, we were allowed to use our vouchers to dine in which I think was a great gesture from staff. Overall, hotel is ok for a one or two night stay but needs some attention. One more note; for as tough as San Pedro Sula's reputation is(and you do see alot of seedy characters walking around the park and immediate streets), we felt very secure and safe. Hotel is well garded with polite and armed security.

MY Thoughts
Other than the mattress in our room I would always prefer to stay at this hotel. There was some question as to why the in room phone did not work either to the desk or other rooms but i forgot to to ask before checking out.

Great staff & balcony view...bathrooms need work
The staff were helpful and spoke English well, the mountain and pool view were appealing, and the balcony was appreciated (particularly for smokers). The bathroom needs to be renovated...the grout for the floor and shower tiles were stained/dirty, the shower and sink faucets have lost their finish and dripped, and the medicine cabinet was very rusty in the seams/corners.

good choice for a short stay in sps
I stayed here one night before a flight out of san pedro sula. [...] It is located 2 blocks from a handicrafts market and a food market, that had good, cheap honduran food, and is on the city's main square. there is also a very good coffee place, kafe ke around the corner. The hotel's pool was a good place to hang out for a couple of hours to beat the heat. I felt safe in the hotel. The room was large, a little dark and a little dated, but clean and comfortable. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the airport, and about the same from the city's central bus terminal.

Good for short stay
Central location across from Cathedral and central park. Within walking distance of nice regional anthropology museum and crafts market. Nice pool area and modest, but good, restaurant.
