Awful, dirty, zero amenities

Posted Jul 12, 2017
Pros: N/A
Cons: Tear it down and build a new hotel.
Location: There was a large shopping center with restaurants across the 4-lane road.
After hundreds of flights at Dulles were cancelled we were forced to find a last minute hotel room and all nearby hotels were selling out fast. We ended up booking here without a chance to do any research. The room condition was deplorable. The bathroom and kitchen area were especially filthy and the hair dryer did not work. There was a public trash can outside our door that was overflowing. The free breakfast was a joke--by 7:00 am nearly all of the granola bars and oatmeal packets were gone as other guests grabbed huge handfuls and ran off. No water, juice, or tea were offered, only coffee. While sitting outside my room during a long call with the airlines I did not feel safe, as the clientele was a bit rough.

Caroline, I regret your disappointment with our hotel and facilities. My staff and I are taking steps to ensure every detail from the first impression at check-in to final check-out will focus on exceptional customer service and impeccable attention to detail in all areas of our property. Once more, I apologize and hope you will afford us an opportunity to redeem ourselves in the future. Sincerely, General Manager

Parking lot tailgate "partiers."

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Pros: The staff were very pleasant.
Cons: Parking lot security.
Location: Close to the mall and near great restaurants.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. However, the room doors face the parking lot and there is no elevator to the second floor. Lots of people sitting on cars and lingering around parking lot. Room was clean and pleasant with small kitchen and no dishes or cutlery (these items could be rented from the office). Less than expected yet price was affordable for transients. Next time, I will pay the extra $10 at another hotel with doors on the inside of the building and a more secure vibe.

Thank you for choosing to stay at our hotel. We are pleased to know our location was convenient for your needs and that you were impressed with the service provided by our staff. However, I am sorry we missed meeting some of your expectations. Please know, to ensure cleanliness of kitchenware upon check-in, brand standards require us to make these items available at the front desk and these items are always complimentary. We appreciate your business and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon! Sincerely, General Manager

We assure you we have staff scheduled daily to perform routine maintenance throughout the hotel and we inspect the property to make sure we are not overlooking any areas that need work. We will absolutely be more diligent in our efforts. We hope you will give us an opportunity to redeem ourselves in the future. Sincerely, General Manager

Not up to the standards I remember from 2013

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Pros: It was a place to sleep.
Cons: Reinstate the provision of amenities such as dishes, coffee pot, etc.
Location: Good enough location depending on where you are going and what you want to do. Close enough to D.C.
I reserved this hotel specifically for the amenities such as kitchenette, no maid service, etc. Arrived for check in about 15 minutes early and no desk clerk and one other customer waiting. Desk clerk showed up shortly and we got checked in and issued one key card although there were two of us registered. Went to the room and the key card didn't work. Walked back to the office and he reprogrammed it and it worked fine after. Entered room and it was same as I remember from my stays in 2013 with kitchenette, etc. Further checking revealed NO dishes, a dirty towel hanging over the shower curtain rod, no ashtray (smoking room), poor channel selection on TV with the ones available being mislabeled, one bar of soap and one tube of shampoo, no coffee pot or complimentary coffee. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up for a guy's use and didn't fit the toilet properly.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to offer our apologies for not living up to your expectations. Although we make every effort to be perfect, sometimes we fall short. We are reviewing the situation as a training tool to improve our procedures and to ensure this does not happen again. We hope you will consider giving us a second chance in the future so we can prove this is not typical of our usual service. Sincerely, General Manager

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in

Posted Jun 29, 2017
Admittedly I booked last minute (same day) since I just needed a place to sleep while travelling for work. I checked in around 11pm and was placed in a smoking room. I didn't order a smoking room, but when they explained they were all booked on non smoking, I took them at their word and decided to power through it. Now, I had to deal with the passive present acrid smoke smell -- if that was everything I wouldn't have minded -- I am not picky and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but the overall condition of the room was horrible. The floors were disgusting, big stains even on the linoleum where it was evident no one even tried to clean. The bed? Completely stained -- the sheets should just be thrown out and replaced. . I was not comfortable sleeping on the bed - I wish I brought a sleeping bag. I asked for new sheets, but since the entire hotel has only one person working over night, I had to remake the bed myself. 24 hours after checking out and two showers I still feel dirty. I get this is a budget hotel, but I spent over $100 to sleep somewhere that honestly I wish I just slept in my car instead. Worst experience ever.

Andrew, we're sorry we failed to provide you the clean and comfortable suite that you deserved. We have inspection procedures in place so that this should not have happened. We take the cleanliness of our rooms very seriously and steps within our housekeeping department are already underway to ensure that this does not occur again. We would appreciate the opportunity to make it up to you on a future visit. Sincerely, General Manager

Very nice hotel for the price paid for

The hotel needs to do at least room cleaning once or twice per week to chance bed sheets

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to know your overall stay was good, but I am sorry we missed meeting some of your expectations. Since we are an extended stay property, we provide housekeeping service to every guest who stays eight or more nights; however, this service is always available upon request for an additional fee. We also offer a complimentary linen exchange service at the front desk. We hope this didn’t overshadow your otherwise positive visit and that you will choose us again in the future. Not great

Would not stay in this hotel ever again. Smelled unclean and dirty. Some staff smelled as if they don't shower. Lobby disgusting. Too small and understaffed checkin was too long.
