Nice Hotel for Business Stay

Posted Sep 20, 2016
Pros: The staff was friendly and the room was very accommodating.
Cons: More towels would be beneficial.
Location: There were several restaurants near the hotel, as well as a gas station, and a big department store. Reston Center is only a mile away.
I stayed here during a conference for work. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean. They were low on towels, but I had what I needed. The location was quiet and peaceful. I had no trouble finding the hotel and it was an easy commute to the conference center.

Good location but run down facilities, but that's why it's so cheap as compared to rest in the area.

Most polluted hotel rooms

Posted Aug 23, 2016
I've allergies from smoke, dust, pollen etc.. When triggered, I develop an infection which becomes an asthma attack. The first night I felt the room in first floor was not right, air condition was cranked so high, near freezing level. I asked to check out first morning but the hotel told me the fees won't be refunded. Guess what the hotel manager said when I then asked them to clean the room, the manager replied that I should read the policy since cleaning is once a week. I then went to CVS pharmacy and bought my asthma medications. In addition, the room wasn't clean at all as well as bed wasn't comfortable. When asked for an extra pillow and blanket, the manager said sure but it wasn't delivered. This is the first time I stay at Extended Stay America, and I assure everyone it SHALL be the last.

Too much heat and too many bugs

Posted Aug 20, 2016
Pros: A place to sleep.
Cons: Less bugs and working equipment.
My first room had a broken A/C and it was about 95 degrees in the room. I requested another room, which they were willing to do. Unfortunately the second room had about 20 large flies and other insects infesting the room. So they gave me a third room which was okay.

I received a copy of your review, and wanted to take a moment to personally respond. The situation you described regarding the air conditioner not working properly and having pest coming into the room is truly regrettable. We are very sorry for your experience. To make sure this doesn't happen again, I am coaching our team to report any items that need repaired and to contact the contractor to treat rooms. Thank you for your comments. Guest feedback like yours allows us to continue to improve our hotel. We hope to have another chance to provide you with a better experience the next time you're in town.

Stench in rooms w/ dirty curtains & filthy carpets

Posted Aug 20, 2016
Pros: location is close to my office
Cons: everything else...including rooms
Location: Few good restaurants around.
The staff is friendly. But as I walked into the room I got this stench. The carpet really stinks and seems like A/C coolant might have leaked into the carpet. The curtains have not been cleaned in ages and are sticky. I had to ask twice for utensils and finally I went there and picked it up. Everyday evening I had to go and ask for air freshener. The guy would come and spray it but would not leave it in the room. Says it is against their policy. I a a frequent visitor to this area. I've decide that for a few more bucks I would rather stay at a decent place.

Posted Aug 6, 2016
Location is very good. Hotel room is old with old carpet, drapes and bedding. No dishes in kitchen. No coffee pot in room. Asked for one and never received it. Room didn't get cleaned.

Drunk Staff on First Night

Posted Aug 3, 2016
Pros: It was close to an Italian restaurant, a fast food place to get breakfast, and two sandwich shops.
Cons: Staff needs instruction in public relations.
Location: I picked the motel to be reasonably close to the Wiehle Reston East station on the Silver line of the Metro. Turned out to be two miles away.
Hotel is modest in price. Room had a kitchenette, without any dishes or utensils. Hence the "extended stay" name. No maid service during the day. Same towels for the duration. Not exactly dirty, but minimal. Breakfast was promised, but that turned out to be coffee and trail bars at 6 AM. On our first morning, I went looking for the breakfast at 6 and found one of the staff drunk and asleep in the garden, the other shaking him to wake him. Later I caught the two carrying away the beer bottles, which they deposited by the front door.
