Budget

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: A roof over our heads
Cons: The smell and it needs a refurbishment
Location: Not close to anything - hotel provided a shuttle to train station so you can get into DC proper.
Room was smelly - so much so we had to get air freshener. Tidy and clean but old and worn. Breakfast was okay.

Shabby motel

Posted Jan 30, 2017
I stayed here with friends for the weekend. The rooms were musty and the beds small. A church group played and sang loudly next to our room until 10 pm Friday and Saturday nights. We complained several times to the motel staff, but nothing was done. we woke up one morning and the entire carpet was soaked from the rain outside. The attached restaurant was awful too. The shuttle drivers and front desk staff were very nice, however.

Friendly staff, average rooms.

Posted Jan 23, 2017
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: food quality at free breakfasts
Location: pretty decent options for food nearby. Free shuttle to Metro for easy access to downtown DC
Small double beds, nothing too fancy. Terrible morning breakfast, but friendly staff serving it and providing customer service. Bathrooms need updating but at this price, it all was adequate

Not sure how this place has a 3.4.

Posted Jan 17, 2017
So the hotel isn't terrible, but I wouldn't say it was pleasant to stay at. My room was in separate building attached to the restaurant, which I'm sure makes a difference. It doesn't even look like the same hotel. The hotel was safe and quiet, which counts for a lot. But the room was outdated, sparsely decorated, and *almost* skeevy in terms of cleanliness. You can definitely tell it's been heavily smoked in, probably even recently. The maid service was bad. They replaced the coffee with decaf only, and took the used towels but didn't leave any clean replacements? So, meh. Would not recommend.

You get what you pay for

The hotel was one of the lower priced hotels in the area. The place was overall outdated. The furnace was so loud that every time it started up, it woke me up. Somehow, the hot and cold was reversed in the shower. They had DirecTV which was nice, but it seemed to be the same 6 or 7 channels repeated a dozen times. The bed was passable, but the pillows were about half the size of a normal pillow. I personally like a flat pillow, which I can never get in a hotel, these being no exception. There was a nice desk for working, but the outlets were a bit far away to make it convenient to use power up a laptop. The WiFi was good. I didn't use much of it, but having free WiFi is always a bonus. The continental breakfast was good, although we decided to eat at the IHOP across the street. I probably won't be back.
