VERY basic room, decent location, no ammenities

A place to sleep. For me, the shower knob was broken when I arrived, the carpet and bathroom floor were dirty along the edges, and as I arrived late at night to check in and knocked on the door, the front desk person motioned to me to use my card key to open the door. I was not yet checked in! Very few electical outlets- a couple power strips hidden behind bed and TV.
Solutions: Invest in a swifer to clean the corners of your bathroom! No one wants to arrive to someone else's hair. Invest in a shop vaccuum and clean the corners and baseboards of your rooms- I shouldnt have to dig behind the bed through at least 3 years worth of caked on dust to reach an electrical outlet. Next, do a maintenance check of each room after the guests leave. It should not surprise you, neither should I have to discover the shower knobdoesnt work. And train your desk staff how to handle customer complaints- they shouldn't have to tell me to wait for the management, and offering the complimentary pastries that are already available is not a solution either, they should be empowered to handle a situation without you.
