Sad

Posted Mar 16, 2017
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Please see the experience.
Location: It was cold and it didn't appear there was anything to do within walking distance
Bathtub had a ring around it and looked as if it needed a good scrubbing. The bedspreads were very wrinkled so they should either be ironed, or taken out of the dryer sooner, or they need some that are permapress. I wondered it they were clean. The sheets too were wrinkled and I was concerned about their cleanliness.

Grim and inconvenient to US Patent Office

Posted Mar 13, 2017
Pros: The staff were helpful in getting me a taxi, which showed up pretty quickly. There was good WiFi.. Also, if you have a car, there was parking.
Cons: Fix the TV so it works and doesn't turn on in the middle of the night. Maybe make a lobby to sit in that is comfortable. Change the blood red colors.
Location: There doesn't seem to be anything near the hotel. Downtown Alexandria is miles away, and the Metro is a mile walk. I saw no restaurants in the area
This hotel is a motel of the 50s design where the room has a window that faces the balcony along which all rooms are accessed. This means that unless you are OK with people looking in at you as they pass, you have to shut the curtains, which means that you have no view outside or daylight. The door itself is a door to the outside on the balcony. There is no hallway. I did not have a car - do not stay here unless you do. I had selected this hotel as the least expensive in Alexandria for a business trip to the US Patent Office near the King Street Metro. It is in fact about three miles away, and there is not decent public transit except taxi. It is a mile from the Metro Huntington station, end of the Yellow Line, and pretty much out of the way unless you are driving a car. The room was pretty cramped and the lighting was gloomy. The color scheme was a dark blood red, which gave the place a very sad feeling, although the bed was quite comfortable. The room had a the sink in the main room and nop, which i don't really like. Worst of all, the TV was a decent flat screen, but it had a data error that required you to turn it off manually, and then if only gave you the RT channel and an infomercial station. Even worse than not having any actual channels on the TV, it turned itself on in the middle of the night! It would have been creepy, except I was too exhausted. The staff were fine. There are some candy and soda vending machines, but nothing to really eat at the hotel.

The room was great! Clean and neat. The only thing I didn't like was the absence of carpet.

The rooms were really nice, especially for the price. It had hard wood floors which we loved. The only thing we didn't like was the check in service. The guy said maybe 2 words to us and that's after we waited 20 minutes in line to check-in.

An OK motel to stay

Posted Dec 11, 2016 on Hotels
The motel (not hotel) is comfortable and the rooms are good. There is a sign that says all new rooms yet the bathrooms are not renovated in my opinion, they are a little disgusting and small. The bathrooms do not even have a way to lock the door so lack of privacy as well. Rest of the room is great.

good value but no microwave, no coffee maker

There is no microwave , no coffee maker, no refrigerator. Still it is was clean and it was the cheapest I could find and it was close to the business I had come for, so good value for money.

Good location to DCA and National Harbor if looking for a less expensive place to stay. Wifi was good, clean rooms and a decent place to stay for a few days. Walls are a bit thin and traffic can be busy and noisy out front but overall suited my needs just fine.

Good angles in the pics

Much smaller than the pics and to find a dried up confirm in my trash can was quite unsettling. Cleanliness is not a priority it seems.
