Was ok at first but the morning before dark a lady was attack right outside our room a few doors down, probably will not be staying at this location in the future especially with our young son. The toilet was clogged and didn’t work properly as well but the staff was helpful on what they could do at the moment so no bad reviews on staff. The sheets weren’t clean on one bed looked like a dried blood or poop stain. Other than that area was probably in a sketchy area but is ok for a night.

We were given a room around back! I’ve never stayed at a red roof that wasn’t an inside hotel this was more like a motel! Context- we arrived slightly after midnight man at desk was very nice and gave us our room keys. When we lugged our bags up to second floor bc the elevator is slow and scary. The stench from the room upon opening the door was unbearable. We went down to speak to desk clerk who moved us to the front of building in what they call a “premium room”. It didn’t smell was small and didn’t have many towels so again another trip to the desk. We stayed Thursday-Sunday and were only given towels the night I asked. Our room was never cleaned or made over. There’s a coffee pot in the room but no coffee and the microwave didn’t work. So I guess what I’m trying to say is you get what you pay for this isn’t the Hilton or even holiday inn. If it wasn’t for the nice desk clerk changing our room we would’ve been outta there demanding a refund!

Had a quick stay after working a long day in DC, so a total of 7 hours. First had to wait at window since after hours, with 2 people ahead. That took 10 mins, then my turn and clerk proceeded to tell me he had something so do and puts the “will return in 10 mins” sign up. Not cool since it was already 10:30 PM and I’d worked a double. He returned, got my room and of course, the parking lot and my room reeked of weed! 2nd time in a row at RR I had to deal with the nasty, pungent odor! It will be my last, I can assure you. I know it’s probably common in most “motel” types these days but still sucks. Since I was exhausted I did manage to sleep OK, and the shower worked so that’s about it for the positives. Never again at a Red Roof

Ok but issues.
The room was nice but I had several issues durning my stay. I had issues with my key card not working consistently. I was not informed when I checked in that house keeping is only done every four days. When I requested new towels and the trash to be picked up, it was initially ignored. The location of the motel maks it very difficult to access in evenings because of heavy car traffic.

Traveler be very cautious about booking
At check in hotel determined that reservation had been cancelled by Hotels.com. Later hotels,com determined that Red Roof had cancelled reservation. I was able to get a room but at a higher rate. I was disappointed by hotel.com assistance and explanation. Then I observed trespassers on the property as I walked my pet. The hotel staff were notified and took no action nor did they attempt to clear of property of the homeless individual who was standing just outside the check in door. I am a senior citizen and solo traveler. This is very unacceptable.

One of my pet peeves about cheap hotels: the drains are often slow. The bathtub in this room would hardly drain at all. The second person going for a shower would find a pool of cold water in the tub.

The property has dim lights, it’s a smoke free but from the parking lot you can smell cigarettes and other things. My room smelled really bad and inside the AC there was ashes of cigarettes. I stayed in the front, so I heard all the noises from the cars to the lawnmower in the morning. The bed had yellow stains in the duvet covers, they only provided 2 bath towels and both had black stains in them. I felt so unsafe I didn’t see any securities, every time I was going to my room there was always people outside smoking. My last night I couldn’t even sleep because one of the rooms next to me 2 people were arguing, screaming and throwing things. I wash charged for insurance incase of damages in my room, but other people that stayed in the same place weren’t charged when they checked in. I only saw the front desk employees when I checked in and checked out, and the way their whole window are closed in glass you can feel how unsafe the place can be.

Not bad for the price.
For the price, it's okay. It got us through for a few nights. The location is right on the side of the highway and it can get pretty loud at nights. We got a room facing the highway, better than the ones on the opposite side. Although siren from ambulance, fire trucks, and police are heard every now and then. No restaurants in the area except for one across the highway that makes real good sandwiches. If you don't have a car, it's quite a bit of a walk to the train station although there are buses around. If you decide to get a room, get the upgraded one. I would recommend it. It is clean and comes with a safe and a microwave. It's a 2 and a half star so not much to be expected. The staff are attentive and helpful.

There was no apparent place near the head of the bed into which I could plug in a CPAP machine. There was no place to store baggage prior to check-in except behind a chair in the lobby. Room smelled a bit musty. Pillows were thin. Towels were thin. bathroom exhaust fan was very noisy. On the other hand, I did not hear any noise from the nearby highway, and the desk staff were helpful.
