When I made my reservation, this property was included among the hotels in Old Town Alexandria. When I arrived, it was a timeshare. I tried to check in an hour early, but my unit wasn’t available. Staff provided a temporary garage pass. For that, I had to endure a little pressure from a second staff person, who wanted to schedule me for an hour-long sales pitch.
Pluses: location (near restaurants, shops, Metro, and the more expensive hotel hosting the conference I was attending); spacious; recently redecorated living area and bedroom; kitchen; garage.
Downsides: a very hard mattress; outdated bathroom; broken iron; overwhelming smell of popcorn for the first day; no daily housekeeping (it’s a timeshare.)
Price depending, I’d stay here again, especially if my family were with me. The unit was larger than many one-bedroom condos in the area. But, if you’re expecting a hotel, you’ll be disappointed in the level and professionalism of the staff.
