Cosy Cabins on an amazing facility.

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Property is huge and beautifully maintained. Cabins are modern, comfortable and clean with a nice sitting area, kitchen and screened in porch. Would have preferred a couch to leather chairs in the living room but hard to complain. Fields and play area for kids. Hike or drive to a remote lake for swimming or kayaking. Working organic farm on site with farm to table events and yummy breakfast and lunch daily at the cafe. Loved the GF french toast. Amazing views of Camden from the top of the resort. Be aware this is not in Camden but a 10-15 minute drive.

Weekend in the forest

Posted Apr 28, 2016
Pros: nice modern clean cabins. very comfortable and quiet.
Cons: everything was great. I wish it was ocean view.
Location: Located near the ocean. Many nearby small towns to visit. No McDonalds, Starbucks,Duncun Donuts or anything else fast. That is a great thing.
Go visit the transportation museum about 30 minutes away.

Nice place to stay

Posted Apr 18, 2016
Cabin was nice they don't have any laundry facilities even though it's listed on Expedia's website and when I called the front to find out about a place to do laundry the person I spoke to had an oh well attitude she said its Expedia's fault for listing it on their website and of course Expedia said its the property's fault for not asking them to correct the listing it wouldn't have been a big deal but we hiked Acadia for a couple days and needed to wash clothes We also had the pleasure of a 5:45 am chain saw wake up followed by people in the cabin next to us yelling at the company cutting the tree. A storm came through the night before knocking down trees one blocked a small part of the road and they could have waited until 7am or so to remove them but they didn't and the last day of our vacation we were up at 5:45am like a regular work day and again the front desk person really didn't care

Privacy in the middle of a cabin community

Posted Feb 22, 2016
I loved this resort and will absolutely be returning. Everything was very clean and cozy. Loved the gas fire even though we couldn't figure out how to turn it on the first night. Although the cabins were fairly close to one another, it was all really peaceful and I don't think we ever heard anyone that was around us. The trails were beautiful and difficult! I was excited to see that. We were the only ones hiking so my dog had an absolute blast on the trails. We loved getting up to knights pond. My minor complaints: I do wish that we had a full kitchen in our king sized room - would have been nice to make our own breakfast. But the cafe food was good too. We also made do with microwaved scrambled eggs when it was raining and we didn't feel like moving. Definitely a bit trickier to dine this time of year since a lot is closed for the winter. We also found not all of our outlets worked - the hairdryer killed all of them for a bit so we had to mess around with the electric until we could charge a phone. One of the lamps wouldn't turn on at all either. Finally, where the heck was the gray trail? My dog and I got super lost up there and found ourselves on top of the cliff above the soccer field.

A Night Away

Posted Nov 3, 2015 on Hotels
I needed to get off campus for a night and booked a room. I wasn't aware I would be getting a cabin, but it was so peaceful and relaxing. The drive up to my room was beautiful and I felt safe. The cabin was gorgeous and so comfortable. I read kitchenette and was expecting a stove, but a microwave was good enough. I would definitely stay here again. Very friendly staff and just a gorgeous location.
