Looked like it had not been updated in 20 years - kind of dirty, smelly. I was actually a little shocked at what I got when I walked in the door.

I Survived

I'm disappointed to say the least. The room had no amenities like coffee pot, or cups,iron or ironing board, no clothes hangers. I woke up and had like an allergic reaction to the sheets, so I washed them myself and realized the next day it was infested with bed bugs. I had several bites from head to toe. I I formed the mnger and they got me another room. Thought can only get better from here but I was wrong. The room they put me in had no lights working. Again notified mngmt and was told sorry no maintenance would be available till Monday. This was on a Fri. At check out they offered a couple of nights free to stay but had not said anything before hand. I survived but then again I'm a combat vet so I've been trained for poor conditions.

Comfort, kitchen, clean, great price

Great place at a great price for long-term stay. I spend months on the road across the country. Woodspring is now my first choice when I travel. Management at this location is A++!

Not At All What We Expected

Pros: The staff were very polite and understanding of our frustration.
Cons: The management of the hotel need to be honest about the actual purpose of the hotel and what they do and do not provide in their promotion.
Had we known that this hotel was primarily a temporary residential hotel, housing people between homes, jobs etc, we would not have reserved a room for a week stay. We were on vacation. There were absolutely no amenities - one tiny bar of soap in the bathroom, none for the tub, no hair dryer (a staple in every motel we've stayed in. Nothing in the kitchen - no coffee pot or utensils. It was explained that in this hotel people were actually temporary residents and brought their own supplies. None of the usual amenities we have always received from even the least expensive motel. We were informed that there was no daily clean towel service and no other services for the room. We were informed that we had to pay to have our towels washed and replaced, which we did. Our first 2 says we were without a room key because their credit card machine was not working. It happens. I do want to compliment Chris, the desk clerk working the evening shift on 6/1 and 6/2. He did everything possible to help us - took us to our room when we returned to the hotel, helped us carry luggage to our room and enlisted his son to help. He was bombarded with angry callers and "residents" and handled them very well without ever saying a negative word about the hotel or management. He was a great example of superior customer service. I heard he was let go when the manager returned from vacation. That was unfortunate - he kept the place running for her for 3 days and did it with a smile.

No amenities

No amenities. No breakfast, or even shampoo or soap. Would not recommend

Clean Hotel, good for the price

I stayed there for 17 days and it's OK. For the price you can't complain at all. It's a long stay hotel so you don't get daily room cleaning, which was good for me. I was on a smoking floor, there wasn't any openings on the non smoking floors, so there was a smell to the room I didn't quite care for. But overall the hotel is clean and I never seen any bugs so I'm glad about that.
