Asked for extra towels 3 times and was only given 1. That made 3 towels for 5 people. Ended up checking out a day early and front desk staff not concerned about why we were leaving.

Good location; needs some improvements

Location: Ames Stadium, Lake Michigan
The hotel served its purpose as a place to sleep. The breakfast was fine, the room was clean. The hallway to get to the room had a strong chlorine odor, the floor at the entrance to building C was sticky and dirty the 3 days we were there, and there was an air conditioning vent blowing very cold air as you walked in. We were given a handicapped room - shower seat, shower nozzle, etc., but had not asked for this type of room. When we asked the desk about switching rooms - that we didn't need the handicapped room and didn't want to keep it in case someone else actually needed it - we were told we had reserved it and that it was ok to keep it. We didn't reserve this type of room and would have preferred to change. It's not that big a deal; we just didn't want to have it if someone else needed it.

I am sorry to hear that our front desk staff was not helpful in putting you in a different room. I will be discussing this with them. It is not something we control when the reservation is made through a 3rd party. It is sometimes hard to switch you to another room if the computer does not allow us to alter a reservation from a 3rd party reservation.

Dirty & not ready in time

Very bad, would not recommend it, dirty, had to move rooms, not ready till 9:30 pm where check in time is 3 pm. Outside door security lock not working

Excellent Value

Pros: The hotel had clean rooms, easy check-in, a surprisingly nice pool and hot tub, and an EXCELLENT free breakfast.
Cons: The building is undergoing a needed upgrade.
Location: The hotel is close to the Indiana Dunes, a casino and is give easy access to the Interstate highways. Michigan City Indiana is lovely.
The Baymont is conveniently located near a major Interstate Highway, the Indiana Dunes, and a Gambling Casino. While there are many lodging choices in the area, this one is a terrific value when adding the amenities of a comfortable bed and very satisfying breakfast choices.

Nice hotel. Easy access.

Pros: Easy access to freeway.
Cons: The double rooms should have queen size beds.
Location: Wasn't looking for things to do. Just a nice, clean place to spend the night while traveling through.
Looked new. Nice and clean. Good breakfast selection.

Wallpaper falling off the walls

Cheap price but needs a lot of upkeep with wallpaper falling off the walls and dirty water stained ceilings. Also no fan in the tiny bathroom made it very muggy

Pros: price
Cons: conditions of doors and carpets can be improved.
Location: near highway and lighthouse outlet mall
It appears to be older than it looks on photo. at the time of my visit (july 2015) it is claimed to be under construction (but I do not see where). Choose it for the price.

Disappointed

The hotel was disappointing to us. Pool and hot tub not working. No microwave or fridge. Bathroom was small. Day time staff at front desk not the friendliest. To say something positive. Good variety at breakfast. Bed ok. We just find for what we payed was disappointing.

I am very sorry to hear that your stay had issues. We do have multiple rooms with microwaves and fridges and upon request try to accommodate anyone requesting one. I looked into the reason for the pool being closed and it was under chemical treatment at the time. I am sorry to hear you happen to get the day this happened.
