About 45 min to airport

Had difficulties with staff members at the front desk when checking in. She was rude. Expedia states in email that a late arrival is safe. Although apprehensive, I called the hotel directly on my way there to ensure reservation was set. Everything was good. My kids and I arrive at hotel @ 320. Check in was at 3, an desk clerk states no rooms left.! Manager was just as rude. But did seem "to find us a room available"? Undo stress I didn't need, will never go back and will never recommend

Hi Sue, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I understand the confusion/frustration you experienced. The designated check in time is anytime after 3pm. We did have your reservation. You arrived at the hotel at 2:20pm. At that exact moment we did not have a clean room available. We apologize for the wait, but we worked hard and quickly located a room to check you into. You may have been traveling from the east and were on Eastern Time. Our hotel is located in Central Time. Thanks again for choosing the Fairfield Inn & Suites, we hope to have you again soon.

Nice fresh fruit as breakfast option; friendly staff. Made a last minute reservation and still got upgrade.

Everything we hoped for and more!

We were coming off a 12 hour road trip and didn't know exactly where we would end up that night. Searching "south of Chicago" made us nervous for many reasons and most of those came to fruition during our search...finally stumbled upon the Fairfield and were SO happy when we arrived! Spotless, large rooms, great parking, excellent service, great price, really good breakfast, pool/hot tub area was large, clean and very fun. We would definitely stay again.

2 night stay

Location: Great hotel for Beer festival stay (for both Hammond and Munster breweries). Easy to get to and find (right off the highway).
The staff were very helpful and friendly. They knew that there were a lot of people at the hotel for a nearby beer festival and they were very relaxed about it and provided good suggestions and tips regarding shuttles. We had a nice King suite-style room and it was plenty of room for visitors (we had a large group staying at the hotel).

Top Stay Experience

Pros: Very accommodating in giving us a ground floor room for handicap problem.
Cons: More counter space in bathroom
Location: We were attending a wedding, it was a short stay.
Very friendly, courteous & helpful staff, Comfortable room, --loved the footstool. Good internet accessibility. Breakfast was very good with many choices and was kept supplied.

Good place if you just need to sleep

A bit disappointed that the breakfast service did not start until 7:00am on weekends. Since we had to leave each day for an event before 7 we had to purchase breakfast at another location. The rooms are good size and could easily fit 2 queen beds but you get two "double" beds which are small.

They put us in the room next to the pool. I asked to be moved immediately and they said no. There is no sleeping when next to the noisy pool area. Finally at 8:30 that evening I complained some more and got moved. That room should never be rented to anyone that wants to sleep.

Hi Melanie, Thank you for sharing your comments. We are sorry that you did not completely enjoy your stay due to the children in the pool. We do post pool hours for that reason. The pool closes promptly at 10pm for children. Adults can take advantage of a quiet time in the pool from 10pm-11pm. The pool them is closed until 7am. Shelli W. General Manager
