Not even worth the rate

Posted Sep 20, 2016
I picked this hotel because I just wanted a cheaper rate and a place where my dog would be allowed. The worker looked very unprofessional and took forever with the person before us and the phone. Then when we checked in she said there is a $10 pet fee. I told her we already paid for the room (on Expedia) and that fee was not mentioned, and she proceeded to blame Expedia and everyone else accept their hotel for me not knowing. We pushed the issue and she said all she could do was take cash and we could talk to her manager in the morning (she was no help and seemed very ignorant about it all). She told us some off the wall thing about putting the fact that we have a dog in the comments when we book on Expedia and then Expedia will charge us the fee right away so we don't have to pay later (which obviously is not how it works). We paid it and went to our room to find a small, outdated room with coffee and mud on the walls. The bed was pretty comfy and the TV was a flat screen with a good amount of channels. The breakfast was OK, but almost all carbs like waffles, cerial and bread (the toaster didn't work). I know you get what you pay for, but I've gotten much better even at this cheaper rate (plus the $10 fee).

STAY AWAY!!!!

Posted Sep 11, 2016
I stayed here with my son the night before an ND game. This was only supposed to be a place to "lay our heads" for a few hours. First of all, this hotel is located behind an abandoned building, off a road with no lights. So, you basically feel like you're pulling up to a horror show. The lobby is run down, smells like cigarette smoke and mildew (just like the rooms!!). Our FIRST room had stains on the walls, stains (including gross pubic hairs) ALL OVER the sheets and comforter. The tv remote did not work, none of the furniture matched, and the lovely smell of cigarettes and mildew drenched the room. I wasn't about stay in this room. Went down to the lobby and told the last at the front desk who wasn't surprised to see us. Our second room was just as bad. Broken tiles in the bathroom, mismatched furniture (and one chair was literally COVERED in either human or animal hair. It looked like someone slaughtered a puppy in it. After staying at this hell hole, I would have rather slept in my car in the parking lot. This place is rotting from the floors up. It is completely run down. If you have the option to stay here, or jam rusty spoons in your eyeballs, ask for the spoons. Don't walk away from this place. RUN LIKE HELL! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

A little hard to find, but well worth it.

Pros: Cleanliness. Proximity to route of travel. Value for the price. Comfortable & quiet.
One of the cleanest hotels along the road that we have been in for some time.

It was kind of scary when we pulled in. The area was overgrown and looked rough, but the room was nice and clean
