Hosts are nice and helpful. Pity the whole place needs a bit of loving. The tiles in bathroom need to be redone, as does the cupboards in the kitchen. Could be wonderful if a little $ was spent in a couple of key areas. It's expected by guests nowadays.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at the Waterford Wynyard, from the friendly reception to the relaxing marine seascape screen saver on the TV. Tastefully decorated in a kinda zen motif, and everything was very clean and functional. Right on the waterfront (as per name), with a nice quiet view and walk-able neighborhood and town. A little hard to find the entrance, but if you go in by the marina, you can walk to the hotel and get directions.

Always a favourite place to stay in the area. Great local house wine that is selected by the owner, alway look forward to what has been selected. Always clean and accommodating. The only place I stay when in the area.

Our second stay at this facility. The reception & restaurant staff are excellent. The room is well set up & the location is central & easily accessible. The only down side for us was despite the room being serviced the towels weren’t replaced & the bed was just covered not made. Rooms could also do with more plates, cutlery etc. would definitely stay there again.

Return Visit
This was a return visit to a motel we had previously stayed at 9 years ago. We had no regrets at coming back and enjoyed our time there. Although I understand the retro style of the place I would recommend a small sink be considered in the kitchen area. We managed but it required some juggling.

Great spot, right by the inlet, easy walk distance to main street, cafes, fish and chip shop. Service was excellent and they even give you travelling 'lollies' when you hand the key back the next day. Everything you could want. Very pleasant reception.

What a little gem. Pleasantly surprised on arrival. Set in a beautiful location right on the river front and beach. The apartment was modern and clean, bed large and comfy. We loved it!

Dining option was not on site, but within walking distance. I found their own website quite confusing as it appears that they have a restaurant on site but that's not the case.

The views from The Waterfront Wynyard are amazing! The key features of this hotel are: clean, updated rooms, comfy beds, pet friendly, yummy breakfast with a waterfront view, close to everything Wynyard has to offer!

The location of this accommodation is excellent - right on the (tidal) water, close to town and with walking paths in both directions. The staff are friendly and super helpful. The rooms are older but have been refurbished and the bed is brilliant! When you're away from home a comfy bed is so important, and this one is excellent. The pillows are just brilliant. The pillow menu offers further choices but the ones on the bed were divine. A great place to stay, highly recommend.
