Great hotel with easy access to the city centre.
Loads of car parking spaces, speedy check in and requested a high floor and that’s what I received. Room was a nice size and really clean. Restaurant had a decent menu and great service. Would highly recommend and in a great location

It is a nice hotel with free breakfast. However information regarding swimming pool is misleading. The pool is located next door, inside David lloyds club. Holiday Inn guests need to pay £20 pp per day to access all facilities in the gym. We booked at this hotel specifically to use the pool.👎

The room was like a furnace and you couldn’t open the window or door. The air con fan didn’t work either.

Overall it was good but not as good as the last time I was there, as the shower got blocked and the reception lady had to come to unblock it. But I still enjoyed my stay with my family

A good stay
Excellent service, and the on-site parking was much appreciated. I was kindly moved to an accessible room even though there had been a mix-up and I hadn't booked it properly - many thanks to the receptionist who helped me. Nice, accessible wetroom. Lovely breakfast. I found that the lights in the accessible bedroom were incredibly bright! You might consider installing a way of turning down the lights, as it's not very accessible for neurodivergent people (I am autistic). However it was otherwise lovely.

If you have an issue with stairs
Hotel was nice enough, no elevator and I was on the second floor. Long walk and then stairs was a little tough 7 weeks after ankle surgery

Good for short stay
Fine for an overnight stay, clean and modern hotel. Helpful staff. You can use the David Lloyd club next door for £10 a day. Good breakfast. Specify a double room when booking to avoid being allocated a twin!

2 nights stay
Room had 2 single beds instead of a double which I wasn’t impressed with. Right next to David Lloyd gym which was noisy mornings and night. No restaurant other than eating in the lobby by reception. Breakfast was quite good with plenty of options.

Although the restaurant was closed ( covid related staffing ) there were still a good selection of takeaway food available. Room was large and modern and everything was very clean. Even the wifi worked !!

THE HOTEL WAS GREAT, VERY CLEAN AND VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, HOWEVER THATS AS GOOD AS IT GOT. THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE ALONG WITH THE BATHROOM. THE ROOM BECAME VERY COLD AT NIGHT AND THE IN ROOM CONTROLLER FOR THE HEATING DID NOT WORK. ALSO THE TV IN THE ROOM WAS UNWATCHABLE AT NIGHT DUE TO THE CONTINUAL PICTURE BREAK UP.

Lots of difficulty changing the reservation between the hotel and Expedia even though we paid extra for a flexible stay. Very friendly staff.
