A Little GemPosted Nov 30, 2017
Pros: Comfort, staff, conservatory, grounds
Location: In the country, near the Norfolk Broads
One of the nices hotel. My single room in a cottage was very warm and comfortable, the double bed had lovely bedding and pillows. Perfect bathroom and toiletries. Coffee, tea and chocolate with cookies. Good food and service and lovely garden with swimming pool. I have no complaints and will definitely recommend this small hotel.

Fab hotel, beautiful gardenPosted Nov 7, 2017
We stayed here for one night while visiting family, lovely big bedroom, comfy cosy beds, just recomend you put the bath mat down when having a shower as very slippery. Reception staff friendly and very helpful lovely touch taking us to the room. Breakfast was tasty and fab that its all locally sourced, views from room were beautiful, would stay here again without a doubt.

Room stark and bare. Old fashioned furniture tired looking carpet. Not having a bath is disappointing even tho the shower was excellent. All carpets thro hotel needed replacing old fashion an worn.

Nice hotel . Perhaps a little dated in places.Posted Oct 9, 2017
Cons: Would have liked fresh fruit and a better choice of yogurts for breakfast. Sitting area near dining room definitely needs updating.
Location: Good location.
Enjoyed our stay. The room was exceptionally clean. Excellent staff. Just needed updating in places.

The hotel is situated in the country away from any towns/villages so transport is needed to get to any attractions/restaurants/bars etc. Although it is on a main road the bedrooms are at the back of the hotel so that traffic noise is hardly noticeable. The hotel itself in general was good for the price I paid. Breakfast was adequate and I had dinner on two evenings from the 'a la carte' menu - the food was good (and reasonably priced) although the service on occasions was a bit slow. Would I stay at the hotel again - yes certainly

Overall a bit disappointed and feel the room rate was overpriced at over £100. The room was a bit musty and decor dated, although the bed was comfortable and shower fine. The breakast whilst nice enough was the same every morning and I was sick of it by the third day. For the price shiukd ha e been more choice e.g Eggs Benedict, salmon, kippers, porridge etc If this was four in a bed I'd put a no to staying again and I would have underpaid by about £20 as nowhere near nice enough for the £102 paid. We enjoyed the pool and convenient for Norwich and North Norfolk, but could be so much nicer......just ok

I stayed 3 nights for work purposes but would also like to stay with family. So much nicer than corporate chains. The staff were really nice and friendly.
