Not good value for money

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Despite the location being lovely the staff are rushed off their feet and don't have time/aren't very welcoming. We were shown our room and left to get on with it, we weren't given any information about the WiFi or even where to have breakfast (although I guess that's apparent as they have a restaurant). I was very disappointed with the room given the price. There were basic tea and coffee making facilities but no water and the furniture was all of low quality. We didn't mind that there was music until 12, we were told about this on check in, I got to sleep at about 1, due to a lot of noise from the bar area until then. Overall we've stayed in much nicer places in the area and just can't see how they can justify the price, it's not worth it and unlike the many places in Norfolk we have stayed in, this is one we won't be going back to.

Location: Lovely location in the country with the Broads and Wroxham nearby.
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a two night stay. The staff were very welcoming and we were shown to our room which appeared clean. We have a good meal on our first evening even though we were the only customers in the bar. It was after we had retired for the night that the problems arose. There was no plug in the hand basin and also we could not persuade the shower to produce hot water! We commented the next morning at breakfast and expected to at least find a plug in the basin when we returned from our days activity, but alas no. The shower would still not run hot although after at least 20 minutes it did albeit the pressure was so low it was virtually useless. Finally, be warned that in the room that we were in there was no door between the bedroom and the bathroom/toilet, only a curtain. We would not stay there again

close to Norfolk Broads

Posted Jun 29, 2016
Pros: location, large comfortable bed, good breakfast
Cons: overpriced for what it is.
Location: Norfolk Broads nearby.
we only stayed one night. I had not read other reviews beforehand, or would probably not have booked as we arrived on a Saturday evening when there was a full scale music event taking place. not the quiet night we had in mind, and so we had to go out to eat and get some peace. To be fair, music stopped around 11pm, and everything else was fine- good breakfast, large bed, room ok. I think it is rather overpriced however, and if you are planning to stay on a Saturday, best to check about events- apparently, they aren't on every week.
