Handy, well priced and friendly

Posted Sep 28, 2015
Staff were lovely and the room was roomy, very happy with our choice, the beds were comfortable, everything clean. A lift would have been nice and I was worried to know it is pet friendly as I have allergies, but it was all clean and no problems. Didn't try the breakfast as we were up and out too early. The noise of the motorway was the only gripe we had, but it wasn't a major issue

Pros: The staff were excellent
Cons: As a smoker a covered area to smoke would have been nice and the food at GRILL AT TWENTY FIVE could be vastly improved.
Location: Quite close to East Midlands airport but no noise, there is a great pub nearby called the bridge which is very family orientated but travel is hotchpot
The hotel and staff were really pleasant and the grounds were fairly tranquil, the only disappointment was the GRILL at TWENTY FIVE,where breakfast was served.it was serve your self and at almost £11 a pop was vastly over priced as even for a 3 star hotel I have eaten better in a spit and sawdust cafe for less than half the price, the staff on the other hand could not be more helpful, they had lots of information and were very clear with instructions for local bus routes and taxi firms.

Not worth the money

Posted Dec 1, 2014
I paid £53 for one night in a twin room with no breakfast. The hotel reception is modern, but when you get in the room all they have done is put wallpaper up. The beds are lumpy and uncomfortable, and the shower is tatty and browning with age.

Price of the room is a little high for what it is.

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Location: We went out with friends who took us to the surrounding places. The hotel is conveniantly located by M 1.
We only stayed 1 night and did not arrive till late around 11pm. It seems the room had not been vetted properly, only 1 bath towel and no coffee and millk. My husband had to go to the receptionist for them, luckily our room was on the ground floor. Othewise it is generally acceptable, standard could be better for the price of the room, also I thought breakfast is expensive.

Nice hotel. Poor eating facilities

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Accommodation
Cons: Restaurant
Location: Ok for what we wanted
Hotel ok. Food quite poor and overpriced. The salmon was full of quite large bones and the salad was just lettuce leaves. The Lasagne was obviously micro-waved to much and was quite dry. The plus side was the restaurant agreed about the Salmon and we were not charged but would have much rather had a decent meal.

Cons: Could do with a lift for older people
Location: Watch cars on m1 out of some windows!!
No interest/ sympathy from staff about the crap room.

No microwave

Posted May 12, 2014
No microwave facilities anywhere in the hotel, and the staff were professional only. They didn't have the warmth of other hotels I've visited. There's only one option for food and that's the restaurant in front of the hotel, which is overpriced and doesn't have a lot of selection
